Also compared to the old sabres, that where based on the 1970 Buick Lesabre, or the GS, or GSX. This one looks similar, but less like its real life counterpart to the previous three. that’s the GSX, you can see there is allot in common, apart from the front spoiler. but still, think I might just steal a few of these. It's more of the naturally aspirated (if not then supercharged) type of car. Just because it has a turbo on the name doesnt mean it actually has a turbo. Kinda like the Gillette Mach 3 Turbo shaver... it doesnt really have a turbo on it... its just added on to sound sporty. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

rollingstoner Posted April 3, 2008 Share Posted April 3, 2008 (edited) I thought Sabre's were based on Chevelles? I did read that somewhere, it is a bit of a toss up, they are very similar. Apart from the obvious Sabre, LeSabre name change, you can tell the difference. If you look at the top of the front fender it has a 45-55 degree slice that get steeper and wider towards the back. also the Chevelles grill sticks out as the GSX sinks in. both are shown on the GTA4 Sabre. It wasnt original though... it had a 454 crammed in it as opposed to the original engine... I think Camaros could even be lumped in there together. GM made a lot of their 70s muscle cars share the same guts. Which made them very simular in length, weight, height, body stylings and such.
