Anyways, the answer's obvious...at least at this point in time. Dare I say, but Volition's first offering vs R* first offering (speaking of console versions starting with GTA2), Volition can only lay claim to better graphics and the Havok physics engine- R* has everything else (gameplay, story, VO, variety of sh*t to do).

 

Would it be fair to compare their respective first offerings by console generation? In that case, GTA IV is the first such offering...there's no need to compare it to SR; it'd be like comparing a Jetta(SR) to a 911. Yeah, they're both cars, with German pedigrees (sandbox genre)...but thats about all you could say with regard to their similarities.
