moggle333 Posted April 3, 2008 Share Posted April 3, 2008 For some reason in the "Intensive Care" mission, it freezes when the ambulance backs up at the end of the mission into the red circle. I have seen it completed before by someone else, but when my ambulance (with Johnny) inside backs up...the ambulance almost takes up the entire screen and the people who are suppose to get Johnny out of the ambulance just stay there. radioman Posted April 3, 2008 Share Posted April 3, 2008 First of all, please provide the required info When posting a problem, be sure to include the following information about your computer: Operating system (XP users: be sure to mention if you have SP1 or SP2) Video/Graphics card type + graphics memory Processor RAM (random access memory) This will help us to identify the problem. Next, do you have any mods installed or have you used any cheats and/or a cheat device? These can affect the outcome of the game, and make certain missions unpassable. Is this PC or PS2? moggle333 Posted April 3, 2008 Author Share Posted April 3, 2008 I have the PS2 version of GTA: San Andreas (Special Edition). The only cheats that are activated are: 1). Infinite Health 2). Only my car is immune to damage 3). Jet Pack. I don't use a car to get the bad guys to come out of the ambulance by ramming into the ambulance so I can shoot them....I fly around in the Jet pack and shoot the ambulance with the uzi enough times and they come out. Then I take the ambulance to the red blip and that's where it crashes or just stays there. For some reason the ambulance seems bigger, or it's backed up to the point where all you see is the ambulance on the screen with HUGE LETTERS that say EMERGENCY on the ambulance. moggle333 Posted April 3, 2008 Author Share Posted April 3, 2008 I don't think it's a scratched CD because I just got this game less than a month ago and it's quite new and no scratches. I was thinking that it might be because I needed to use a vehicle to damage the ambulance so the ambulance would have dents on it. For some reason when I shoot the ambulance with the uzi to get the bad guys to come out....the ambulance doesn't have any visible damage. I think this might be the reason, but I'm not entirely sure. If the game continues to hang and there are no scratches on the disc, then probably the game data is corrupt as that seems to be the only possible way the freeze can be explained. It was a codebreaker code (cars have better handling) which was the culprit. I removed that code and it worked fine and I completed the mission. I kinda figured that was the problem because when the ambulance backed up at the end of the mission...it backed up to far to the point where the guys couldn't open the back of the ambulance door. I passed it now. Whhheeeeeeewwwwww!!!! I didn't want to leave poor CJ to be stuck roaming the lands forever. lol. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
