ChEwY213 Posted April 3, 2008 Share Posted April 3, 2008 So I just got back from my local gamestop and i finally pre-ordered gta 4, then the gamestop employee told me that my copy will be ready on the 26 at midnight, or the next day...i was like, i though that it came out on the 29, they said so did we but i guess we are getting it earlier...the town is Tacoma, WA if u wanna know. On boxes, it says "DO NOT OPEN, LEND, SELL, OR RENT BEFORE [THIS DATE], SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES FOR RETAILERS WHO BREAK THIS AGREEMENT" So, unless they have special permission from Rockstar, which I doubt they do, and they sell them early, they can, and probably will, have serious consequences. Over The Wall Posted April 3, 2008 Share Posted April 3, 2008 You know the guy at Gamestop here in Gainesville told me the same thing and I just assumed he had the date wrong. Since it's very illegal on their part, the automated phone call will still probably come on the 28th, as advertised. That doesn't mean I won't be stopping by on the 27th though. MrCarmine Posted April 3, 2008 Share Posted April 3, 2008 once someone tells them about this thread, or the situation at all, they will that's just a store trying to be slick and get notorious locally.. but it's a bad decision yeah they're getting them on the 26th to make sure they're there by the 29th i had a few friends who went at midnight for vice city and the truck was late... so they all got free game guides for being troopers and waiting. ship the merch 3 days early, and traffic on the highway won't stop the truck from getting there on time Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
