We've not heard of anyone getting killed by anyone with any kind of authority on the subject at all (except that little jacob is somehow killable in the missions he's in) We don't even know if death is permanent in this game, if jacob is killed "in mission" he may just go to the hospital and you can't use him for a few days or something. We know even less about roman or packie or brucie. All we know about roman is that they didn't want him to be Niko's brother because "there is an element of betrayal". I was watching a purposefully bad homemade video depicting GTA IV, and it ended with Roman revealing that he was the bad guy's mole, at which point Niko screamed "Roman, you snake!" before he and Little Jacob gunned him down. I laughed a bit, then thought seriously about it. Roman is clearly not trustworthy and is quite desperate to pay off his loans to the mafia. If he gets rich, he may start to feel that Niko isn't giving him a real slice of the action and, just like Lance Vance, decide to turn snitch.
