cronodevir
From GTASanAndreas.net: Cesar Vialpando Tattooed from top to bottom--a childhood friend of CJ in the city of Los Santos. Cesar is dating Kendl, CJ's sister. Cesar is obsessed with stolen cars, and heads up the Varios Los Aztecas, a gang that is currently diminishing. A man of honour and integrity, which eventually leads Cesar and Carl to become close friends. He's always watching CJ's back, and vice versa. Cesar is Catalina's cousin. How is he a Childhood friend if they first meet at the car competition? Also, why is his gang diminishing? I have a feeling its a simple bit of misinformation, but lets talk about it! spursfan111
a childhood friend of CJ -This is a mistake, and his gang is diminishing. The Azteca's are crappy and need Cj's help to take there small area of turf back in the mission Los Desparados.

cronodevir
Speaking of Turf..how many territories are there? The game suggests there is 57 [balls have a 40 under thier name and vagos has a 17 under thier name and GSF have a 0 in the stats screen..so i guess this is for territories?] of them..and can you totaly wipe a gang out if yout ake all thier land? spursfan111
They have zero because you are past the green sabre mission at the start they have a few more. Also there is a territory guide which I will find in a minute. Aha here we go Edited April 2, 2008 by spursfan111

xNamexTakenx
Yeah, this information is probably just mistaken. As we see in SA, CJ meets Cesar at the car competition. They should really change that.

Yes, once you take over all the territories other gang members don't show up anymore, although I tried just taking out the Vagos and leaving the Ballas as they were and they still sometimes took over the territory near the hotel from the Reuniting the Families mission. No, i mean..lets say i took over all territories..then played without looking back..and left it..could other gangs eventually retake everything?..do my territories still get attacked? The point is..i want them to ... Or..do i need to leave balls and vagos atleast one territory so that they can retake everything [and i can re-retake everything.. ] Edited April 3, 2008 by cronodevir
Rhoda
As a bit of a tagent from the topic, I always left Vagos untouched for some reason, probably because I didn't mind them out of the way. Ballas are arseholes anyway, and having Vagos left provides a bit of variety. But yeah, the information really needs to be changed. How long has it been that way? Don't tell me since the game came out... 4 years ago.

And definitively it's a mistake.
xNamexTakenx
You know what really annoyed me? That little strip of territory above Temple. You know, that little piece owned by the Ballas? When I thought I took over every hood, the Ballas always attacked me. I never knew why, until I took over that turf. Anyway, if you lose a gang war, they opposing gang doesn't reclaim it or anything. It turns into a neutral hood. Because when they take it over, you'll see both GSF and Ballas or Vagos spawning in that hood. IMO, it would've been a greater challenge if the Ballas or Vagos could completely take over their lost territory. Now, that would've been cool! xNamexTakenx
Nope. It only becomes a neutral hood, controlled by your gang and the opposing gang. You have to start a gang war again to win it back. But, there's no way it could be completely reclaimed by the enemy.
Struff Bunstridge
There might be a mod that does this; I agree it'd be better if rival gangs could take turf back. I always thought it was a bit of a cop-out; someone attacks your turf, and all you have to do is start a mission and it skips the gang war completely. Hodgey.
Hes definetly not a childhood friend of CJ. He only meets him because of Kendle.

Whenever I'm not in the mood for a gang war, I just save the game and the gang war gets skipped completely. Yeah, it does suck.
