So, In many screenshots where they show Niko or someone using an M4, there are no attachments on it, and theres no handle on the top. So I'm wondering if you have the ability to put attachments on your gun. Maybe its just the M4, or maybe it all of them. What do you guys think? Btw, don't take everything in CoD4 as a literal translation of real life. It's a FPS marketed at kids. There are very few things realistic about it. RDS' dont zoom and are typically used on sub machine guns and assault rifles, they are also known as reflex sights and help with accuracy, though not nearly as much as a scope. There's so much MORE to GTA IV; I wouldn't be surprised if they did include some level of customization but I doubt they'll have all of that (selection of silencers, extended mags, scopes etc). In COD you use expensive military-grade hardware that you wouldn't expect hoodlums and gangsters to have access to. We donno if they're customizable, but those two are different guns. actually it is an m4 because the exhaust barrel on the the m16 is about 6 inches longer than on the m4 and in the screenshots weve seen, the barrel is much much shorter than the m16. the m16 is designed to be more of a rifle. the short exhaust barrel on the m4 allows more air for the gun to breathe and it can be switched to full auto, unlike the m16 which has 3 round burst and also single shot. the shorter barrel basically makes sure the gun doesnt overheat. 3 round burst doesnt need a wider barrel just a longer one for a more precise shot. anyway the chances of rockstar putting an m16 in gta4 is highly unlikely because every 3D gta game they release all had fully automatic m4's even though in gta 3 the m4 had the body of an m16 it fired like an m4.
