ZeroZero
Something aint right here.. most of the replies in this thread are hinky #A this forum is filled with lying bastards who visit a tv maker`s website, copy the link of a image of a tv and post it here and claim they have it #B they are posting the tv of their parents, who i doubt will let them play on it for hours on end #C everyone here is rich. myself i`l be playing on my Iiyama 22 inch pc monitor, my tv is a regular 100cm old school tv that i barely use. 1: Who really cares? Lying about having a TV doesnt make them actually have the TV, so the liars are really the only ones losing out, ya dig? 2: Some parents dont mind their kids using the "main" tv. 3: I'm far from rich, I got my monitor on clearance, and the DLP I plan on buying? Well lets just say Im still saving from just past the millennium. 4:Hinky? http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=hinky also my Dad wouldnt even allow me to watch my favorite show when some sort of sports was on tv, same with my mom and her shows. Play GTA for 4-5 hours?.. ya right, maybe in the middle of the night.. My monitor cost me 210 euro`s, then again i payed 600 for my 19 inch crt in 2001. I had sell off alota crap to pay for my 3000 TV and EVEN then i'm taking on a loan to cover the remainder of the TV so its kinda ignorant to summarise people who can AFFORD to buy these TVs into spoilt rich kids or liars when many of us genuinly saved up for our TVs or made budget cuts and sacrifices to be able to afford these TVs. Tense
58" Samsung Full HD Plasma with surround sound my dad bought. And yes, I can use it any time and for as long as I like. The picture from the Ps3 is crap without an HDMI cable, though. Edit: After reading the above post I thought I should add that neither I, nor my parents, are rich. We just got a mad deal on the TV. sk8_2_die
40" 1080p Sony Bravia. Hey brotha, i noticed your getting the Bravia 40 ", is that the same as this one: http://www.binglee.com.au/Product.aspx?id=2294 ?? Because i'm planning on pickin this up but just wanted some first hand opinions on it.. Its a fine television, but you'll need to play around with the colours a bit when watching TV (broadcasts, I mean, colours are fine with DVDs and games), because they can be a bit off to start with. Mine came with a free PS3, so that was another good incentive to buy it. awesome awesome, yeah i'll only be using it for games and DVDs anyway don't watch much regular broadcast TV....hows the black ?? is it a nice dark tone giving a realistic smooth feel or does it have a cloudy ash look?? i know this is specific but yeah just making sure i get me moneys worth Yeah i missed out on the free ps3 give away succkkkss...guess ill jsut have to wait till the PS3 is more affordable to buy since ill be set back by quite abit for the new tv
CDT_boss
I've got the SONY KDL70X3500 70" HD-LCD TV!! previously i had a small 26" PHILIPS that sucked hard and now with the new HUGE TV everything is amazing!! So cool to watch football or should i say soccer, if i go close to the TV i can follow the ball :-) games look awsome too like COD4, Burnout Paradise and the best: Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. Most people here buy these cheap tvs. WHY? when for the same money you can get an amazing experience. unless you live in a shoebox. BTW do you like your draper screen:? thinking about buying one. Trazom
Massive but i play this way and you can too for as little as 50 pounds about 25 dollars if you hunt around..... good way to play..... Dark your room out abit and its bliss to play on a projector. Ebay it up folks..... http://electronics.search.ebay.co.uk/proje...34QQsacatZ22610 AGAIN THANK YOU lol Im projecting it on the wall as well. I saw this screen on ebay which is just the sheet which is cheap and good and was thinking about it. You dont intent to put a screen?
hsthompson
I don't know how you guys with projectors can play games on it. I played The Godfather on my projector on a 8'x4' projection and it was too difficult to consume the view. I felt like i was watching a tennis match. However the projector shows no where near the detail my 46" Sony does so thats the one i'll be playing it on.

I got used to and I think its so much better. Its all about getting used to. I can honestly say that I have a much better gaming experience now. And I have been playing for decades now. So I seen little middle and BIG lol.
Darrel
As long as you have a reasonable size HDTV it will look super. I'm playing on a a 32" that's good enough for me. (Edit) SinSilla damn that's the business man.
AlterEqo
OK...what is this...there's been MANY threads like these and honestly...for what? To let everyone know you have a big HDTV? WHO CARES WHAT TV MOMMY BOUGHT YOU (or just bought in general and you play your games on it). Dude chill out. I seriously doubt few people here got their T.V. from their parents. If you don't like it don't come into this forum. I will be playing it on my 52" Plasma with 1080i. I bought it by myself by the way because I am old! What do you have a 21" Standard T.V. is that why you complained about these postings?

The screen is great quality, I can see the screen perfectly with moderate room light. Its a greyscale with 1.1 gain. You cannot see anything in direct sunlight however, I had to install black out curtains for daytime use. My pictures DO NO JUSTICE to the clarity of the image.. It looks so much better in person. My only problem is its a non-tensioned screen. So when viewing from an extreme angle you can notice a slight wave. Head on is perfect you cant tell at all. I went with the non-tensioned because It was cheaper and I plan on upgrading to a 150" screen when I find a condo to buy.. hopefully soon. To the poster who said they had trouble playing The Godfather, its all about distance from the screen. I sit about 10 feet away from the screen and I have no trouble absorbing most of the screen. I enjoy immersing myself into a virtual world.. When you play COD4 you forget your even sitting in a room.
