poopskin
also, if Theresa is (Apparently) alive, does that mean there's a chance that The fable 1 hero Could also be alive, considering they were both heroes? M. H. Hunter III
Hum interesting retrospective thought here but you were given a choice at the end of fable 1.....a few choices if i remember right. but if i remember right - keep/toss sword of aeons - kill/spare sister (Theresa) or maybe if you kept the sword you killed her by default...i know im not that far off here either way. so now in fable 2 why do they assume that you spared her? Furthermore i seemed to miss how she missed the revolt against the heroes guild and heroes in general that assumability killed your former character. Damn i don't know if i missed something here, but now i'll have to finish up the story a second time just to see if they cleared the haze up. i do remember they obviously told you she ran away to set gypsy camp La famiglia è tutto The strength of a family, like the strength of an army is in its loyalty to each other.~ Mario Puzo ~
DeeperRed
Saved my self from a gamebreaking glitch today. Nearly cried after 60000 Seconds could of been wasted! I went into a quick co-op session, usual whinny basturd complining about me killing his wife and crap. Quited out and wentback into my world. Only to find NO one would intreact with me, I couldn't Intreact with Anything. No Dog. It was like I was stuck in a Co-op world but in my own So I re join a cop and quited out. Come back into my word. "Few" people are noticing me again, I can intreatc with everything agin. But wheres my Dog. I looked around to see it as flooting toards me in the stting potition. Frozen. I thought "For f*ck sake!" and went to do my quest for The thief. I walk into the mission area in his house, the door shuts behind me so I can't get out but he didn't react with me, he just stood there. So I quited and reloaded same thing! Joined a co-op SAME THING! My dog at this point a mear shadow a f*cking floating shadow! The game was falling apart! Spo before I through my Xbox out the window I Cleared my Cache and reloaded Fable 2 (Without instaling the patch) and the first thing I noticed was my dog as ALIVE he was walking and everything so I cross my fingures and went to do the mission and it worked! I celebrated by getting a cold beer, doing the mission. Switching Fable 2 off, Installing and playnig Fallout 3. Brought my bedroom TV downstairs (I can't miss 8 out of 10 cats, though focusing on two screens was solid)
Democrab
I'm bartending for gold right now, at 3 stars and 20k gold. Also getting about 320-430 gold every 5 minutes from Rent and Businesses.
AlianAnt
I'm bartending for gold right now, at 3 stars and 20k gold. Also getting about 320-430 gold every 5 minutes from Rent and Businesses. If you take the time to reach 5 star rank, you'll be making absolutely absurd amounts of gold. I bought the Bowerstone Market tavern with the gold I made off about 10 minutes of bartending at 5 star. Has anyone chosen the wealth option at the end? I'm curious to know how much money it gives you. I'm also curious if there's a way to buy Castle Fairfax, or otherwise get to live in it somehow, since Peter was all "lol u kan bui dat n evrithyng els lol" Metal up your ass! M. H. Hunter III
right so i've heard that if you choose the money option you get something like only 1,000,000 gold and a sh*tload of evil points. Oh and i choose the needs of the many i think the first time through and I could buy castle fairfax, that tower in bowerstone cemetery, and a few other places as well hope that answers a couple of questions you had La famiglia è tutto The strength of a family, like the strength of an army is in its loyalty to each other.~ Mario Puzo ~
Democrab
Is there any maps for where the gargoyles are? I have a lazy weekend and just want to be killin' things and getting through the story.
blitsie
Just finished the game boy it was great,so question time! also spoiler time! I chose Family, and so I get that letter from rose stating that she is in a forest with some scary, thin looking man with a robe, he looks like a king,so where is she and who is this man? The letter she wrote also states that she keeps forgetting the person's name, who is this person? I bet it is the Hero from fable 1. or maybe Scythe or...what some people say:....Jack of Blades great,so,where the hell can I find mysister?! At least that's what they said on the Lionhead forums. Anyway I made the wrong choice. Sacrifice sucks. I was trying to be 100% good. Mistake. Not having the dog pretty much ruins the game. I can't get dig spots or do certain quests now. Started a new game, definitely gonna pick love.
blitsie
Strange, isn't the family (or was it love?) choice supposed to revive everyone you love that got killed? It revived my wife and dog,but why not Rose? *cries* but still, thanks for the answer though! now I'm gonna try and kick Theresa's ass for lying about the choice,I want my damn wish back! M. H. Hunter III
you guys do realise that you picked the choice that brought everyone back that perished in the building/construction of the spire, not everyone that perished during that time period looks like you guys were duped into a choice. I am still puzzled by Theresa at the end though.....seems like they set it up for a 3rd game where she controls the spire, as you don't destroy it really @joe. I used this guide here to help me through my gargoyles. Those things really are a bitch at times for certain La famiglia è tutto The strength of a family, like the strength of an army is in its loyalty to each other.~ Mario Puzo ~
poopskin
Well, my Member title is now 2 different refrences: 1. You can probably guess 2. EarthBound zero (Specifically the Loids are not christmas radio show) Heh, i liked chesty. Reminded me vaguely of a 5-year old Johnny the homicidal maniac. Kaj.
If you don't play on Live, and play Fable 2 a lot, I really suggest you guys download the leaked NXE update. I did it earlier and it's wonderful being able to play without my DVD drive running a marathon.
Democrab
Just finished the story, that Great Shard fight took ages for me to do (Garth stopped attacking it halfway through, so it was all up to me shooting level 4 Inferno's at it.) Also, Someone asked how to get rid of Will Veins? If you get rid of every Will Upgrade except One, maybe two spells (I found I was only using Inferno, so I only have that now) it gets rid of it, I have uo to level 4 inferno and it works, so yeah. Great story though, I felt genuinely sad when My dog was shot, and Lucien said my wife and children are dead and I thought Reaver was a selfish asshole, and I wanted to kill him when he sent me to the shadow council

Don Garcia aka NjNakedSnake
I really hope to be getting this soon too. I would be playing this, this very weekend, but the damn RROD cut me off at the f*cking knees.

I don't think there's really much you need to know when starting off although i suggest using all your XP to upgrade your health, melee damage and a magic spell in which you can't go wrong with level 4 or 5 fire spell, the others aren't really needed in my opinion. Well if you've maxed out your melee attack stats, then it makes short work of the enemy anyway, especially if you've got the swing speed maxed aswell. Anyway it all depends on how you play games, different methods for different gamers .

Vercetti21
So... who's playing this still? Picked it up at Gamestop last week and I haven't been able to put it down since. I thought I would be torn between getting this game, Far Cry 2, and Saint's Row 2 but this wins so hard over the others.

Ah that's cool, I never played the original Fable, bit too linear for me, however, I'd heard good things about Fable II, so I checked it out, love the game to death, and all the assorted secrets that you can find if you explore enough. Vercetti21
Yeah Chicken Chaser was the original name of the Hero from Fable. Don Garcia was right, you really appreciate the game more when you've played the first one. Loved the "Your Health is Low" references to the Guildmaster. Just finished the game for the first time today, strange ending. What's with Teresa wanting the Spire? Played as a pure good character, now going to play through again as evil.
