Hi, I will buy a new graphic card for my PC, my old is to slow.

Thats my system facts:

Processor: AMD Athlon Dual Core 4600+

RAM: 2 GB

Grapic Card: Sapphire Radeon X700 Pro

HDD: Western Digital 80 GB

My PC is good, but my grapic card is crap.

I want a good grapic card, but not so expensive.

With 512 MB RAM, PCI-Express, Direct X9.

Can you give me a good choice?

My guess is most will suggest an 8800GT. But there might be a 7 series card that you can get for cheaper and meet your needs.

Also, make sure your computers power supply can handle the card you get.

Picolini is now Pico

For around 150-180 euro I'd try pick up a 8800GT if you can, great card for the price and will be able to handle anything you throw at it (exept crysis as usual) for a while yet.

That CPU is a bit slow, it might bottleneck an 8800GT. I would go for an ATI HD3870 or 3850.

It shouldn't Bottleneck, I've seen people running those CPU's with 8800GT's and even once, a HD3870x2.

Besides, I'd rather have a CPU bottleneck with a really fast GPU, than a GPU bottleneck on a slowish GPU tounge2.gif

I suggest that ATI HD3850 is the best.

3850 is the best card with a cheap rate.

Not much though, my 4400+ handles a 8800GT fairly well with little bottlenecking.

Even so maybe a 9600GT would be better, slightly less grunt then a 8800GT and slightly cheaper.

Is it really much better?

Not by much, I would say it's not worth the price difference right now.
