The screenshot system on Deus Ex doesn't work so good, it may be lighter in-game but the shots come out a lot darker (likely because they're saved as .BMP files).

Bloody MiBs take annoying to a whole new level. It takes ages to kill them and when you finally do - KABOOM! - You better hoped you hauled ass away from his dead body before it blew the f*ck up.

 

Here's another, I've washed this one out in GIMP to make it brighter (if I didn't it would be practically pitch black).

 

Let me try to explain wtf is going on in this pic.

 

First of all, this is not the first level (Liberty Island), this is one of the intermissions between levels where it doesn't let you out of the little UNATCO HQ (the gate is closed).

Blue is a giant invisible wall which is supposed to help prevent you from escaping UNATCO HQ.

Green are grenades that I have planted on the wall (and disarmed straight away) to help me jump up the wall one at a time.

Pink where I used the grenade jump glitch (basically you face the floor and throw a grenade, jump on it while it's bouncing and you fly really f*cking high).

 

Basically, I have abused grenades and skipped out of the boundaries of the map, I'm at the highest point (highest point possible, you can't actually get up to the statue because of a ledge above where I'm standing) on the Statue of Liberty. The rest of the map is almost like the first level (because it's supposed to be), but once you get out of where you can see from UNATCO HQ it's all missing and cut out. There was one thing I was kinda curious about, a small wooden crate with a lockpick in it was still outside the boundaries.

 

Complicated glitches.

Yeah, I remember the first time I took on a MiB. Dragon's Tooth...and both of us blasted to smithereens.

Yeah, that's the thing. The Dragon's Tooth Sword is the most powerful weapon against MiBs (at least I think so) yet it's dangerous to be up close with them when they die.

 

Anyway...

I feel that WWII is terribly underrepresented in this here topic. I also feel that I should amend that. I give you, the battle of Carentan:

My fellow squad mates. Little did they know that half of them would die - 16 of split in to two teams, four in mine died heading into town

 

This road was heavily covered by an MG42 - four of my squad mates died here (multiple times too, lol)

 

Here we are after clearing that road

 

Heading into the town of Carentan. Most of what was left of my fire team died here, leaving me and my NCO to fight

 

I headed up these here stairs, went through some terrible shelling, sniped a few Germans, won the game for my team, and did push-ups with the Germans:

Brilliantly intense mod is f*cking brilliant. Mark 15 may on your calendars people, Beta 1.0 will be released and you get to taste the up to date version with everything polished up properly (as it is now, it's rather 'unstable').

 

Still, thansk for reminding me to post some of my own pictures in here aswell. Same goes for creating a topic about total conversions for games in general.
