Gangs Have Gone

Currently there are no gang territories, of any colour.

After completing The Green Sabre I found myslef in the countryside with Tenpenny. OK, so that's all part of the storyline. But now all gang territories have gone: no green, no purple, no nothing. The dollar icon outside the Johnson House has also gone. So too have all the Grove Street gang members, there are none to be found anywhere in Los Santos. Other gang members, esp Ballas, are all over the place, but no one is shooting at me anymore. Is this normal?

Yes, - that's perfectly normal.

 

You get to take over territories again later in the game.

During your first play through don't skip any cut scenes. You will miss information about the story line.

 

Also you may want to listen to the radio especially WCTR for news.

 

After major missions usually there will be a news break remarking on the action.

Some of the other stations' DJs will comment too, but usually only once, while WCTR may repeat it a couple of times.

yea on my first file i was so dumb that i skipped every cut scene in the game cuz i thought they were boring.

but about listening to the radio on WCTR how do u know when there will be a special report after doing a mission.

If you see the cutscene's of Green Sabre you will understand why they are gone. Because you have left Los Santos.

And GSF is in tatters and definitely not strong enough to control the streets.

I'm not aware of missing any cutscences, but I certainly can't remember what was in them all.

 

I had assumed it was normal, but what with all the talk in the forums about getting gangs together etc. I was beginning to wonder, esp as I've been playing for so long now without any (Grove Street) gang members. It's certainly been a relief not to have to dash back to LS every two minutes to defend territories!

 

I'll look out for them returning at some point later in the game.
