rubix99
"Oooooooh not to happy about the look of that GTA4", said a sour graped BBFC after learning they now have to issue a rating certificate to Manhunt 2.

mac915
What's the BBFC? and What is this topic about? BBFC is the British Board of Film Classification. Like the ESRB and MPAA but for Britian. No idea what the topic is about though.
nlitement
What's the BBFC? and What is this topic about? At first I had the intention of forgiving you, but no, there's no excuse not to know what BBFC is when you're English.

rubix99
The point of the topic is this: Since the BBFC have now been forced to issue a rating certificate to grant a UK release of Manhunt 2.....is there now a possibility that they will hold a grudge against Rockstar to the point where they will reject GTA4 when its submitted to them.....out of pure spite? Possibly....but it could still cause a 9 month delay of the game and be a big inconvinience to Rockstar.
MysteryGamer
The game will not get banned don't worry, Manhunt 2 recently got the go ahead to be official released in Britain when Manhunt 2 comes out here in the United Kingdom is unknown and whether or not it will be edited like the U.S. version. If anything doesn't make sense it's because I just drank a lot of alcohol it's my brother 18th birthday

If anything doesn't make sense it's because I just drank a lot of alcohol it's my brother 18th birthday Manhunt 2 has been confirmed to be the same edited version the US got. My point is that the BBFC could still initially reject GTA4.....meaning that Rockstar would have to go through long lengthy legal processes in order to get the ban overturned. And like Manhunt 2.....that could take months.
GTA3Freak-2001
Hey if the OFLC here in Aussie land can allow the game's rating, you guys should have no issues at all. Manhunt 2 is a very different game, I mean its a video game based on snuff movies where your main aim is to kill in the most brutal ways possible. I dont dispute that there will be anything in GTA that will truely justify rejection, I am just thinking they may possibly do it out of spite. They have been really stupid and pathetic over the way they kept making a huge deal out of Manhunt 2 and going as far as to drag the high courts into it when their own regulators favoured Rockstar in the original appeal. Just got a horrible feeling that they will now hold a grudge against Rockstar and would not suprise me if they tried to make things difficult for them with GTA4 and give out some stupid reason that GTA4 looks more realistic than the previous games when commiting violence and running over pedestrians and that the game poses a "harm risk" to adults and minors.
