The one with niko and the sniper says a good tactic is to find a position somewhere high up for example in roofs where u can get rid of ur enemies.

 

Right next to it is a pic that u cant see but it says covering and rolling through coverage in gun battles is essential if u want to survive ina battle with 16 other players

 

The one where niko is pulling a gun on a taxi says of course u can steal any car that comes ur way in any multiplayer game

 

The one that says at the bottom cops and crooks..says the most fun mode…half of the players were cops half were crooks…and so it begins a unstoppable persecution through all of liberty city with 4 players using the same car

For four hours we were playing against the other guys of rockstar with headsets and at 65 inch TV with the sensation that we are playing something completely revolutionary!

And in order to get into the multiplayer games its as easy as reaching into nikos pocket for his cellphone and dialing any of the games up. The fun, the laughs and exciting times against other online players is just a click from the cellphone!

 

The offer is nothing short of 15 multiplayer games in which we tried only 7, under the supervision of the rockstar staff though.

For starters we began with the direct an brutal death match many its variants (everyone vs. everyone or forming a team against other team in team match)

What ever the multiplayer game is the grand prize is being able to play in the entire map of liberty city and the liberty to do anything. it’s the same map that u play in single player with the same streets monuments, cars, buildings.

In the case of competing with teams up to 4 players can be in a single car from a taxi to a helicopter, and cause chaos while u guys fire in four different directions!.

MAFIA WORK and TEAM MAFIA will convert u in a body guard of kenny pretrovic competing to complete every task that’s asked of u by ur boss, via cell before ur rivals do.

U may be able to compete with other players in illegal modes RACE and GTA RACE utilizing weapons to neutralize ur rivals and stealing another car while urs gets stalled.

U can relieve the old game of cops and robbers in COPS’N CROOKS…in which a group of of players intersect criminals in run away and the other in police force whiling to do everything in their power so the criminals don’t escape..ALIVE..

To make it even more interesting the cops can detect the criminals in GPS while the criminals have only their criminal instincts to out run the police…the raids and suicide pursuits are more than exciting!

 

But everything doesn’t consist of these type of games online.

There is also co-op on missions as in HANGMANS LOOSE..where its ur job to escort along with ur partners some mafia bosses as u get chased by helicopters and SWAT teams…

And the offer doesn’t end here..DEAL BREAKER, TURF WAR..CAR JACK CITY…BOMB DA BASE 2... FREE MODE..if the 100 hours of the game are short for u..the 10 years of multiplayer should do the job!

Yesterday we told you about German magazine Games Aktuel previewing multiplayer modes of GTA IV, but you don't have to wait until next week to get the first details from them. PSM in Spain has their own preview, filled with plenty of screenshots - 20 of which are new. Here are the details...

 

All together there are 15 multiplayer modes in the game. PSM played 7 of them.

Up to 16 players in multiplayer is supported.

The multiplayer modes are:

Hangmans NOOSE

Car Jack City

Bomb da Base

Bomb da Base II

Mafia Work

Team Mafia Work

Deathmatch

Team Deathmatch

Turf War

Cops 'n Crooks

Race

GTA Race

Deal Breaker

Free Mode

Car Jack City

You can choose from a vast variety of online characters, all customizable by way of race, sex, hair, clothing etc.

In the modes Race and GTA Race, the host decides which vehicles are involved, as well as the number of laps.

The same applies for Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch, where the host decides over the amount of pedestrians, vehicle traffic, the intervention of police, and type of weapons to choose from.

In the mode Cops 'n Crooks, one team plays as cops, while the other criminals. As you'd expect, the cops must stop the criminals from escaping. The cops has an added advantage of monitoring the position of the criminals on their GPS's, the criminals have no such option available.

In Mafia Work and Team Mafia Work, you play as one of Kenny Petrovic's mafia henchmen. Complete assassinations (given over phone) before other players in the game to score points.

Hangman's NOOSE involves you and other players escorting a mobster, while being pursued by SWAT.
