rustmandevil
have ever wondered??? all these people take out a 2 hour review frequently then y did any one think of this. they have 2 hrs in the game. they kill a person and take a heli ride. or they press R3 to be a passenger in heli. then y dint they think of jumping from the heli while up above in the sky???? or if they have done it then y dint they tell us about it. till now i never remember any 1 article mentioning about a drop out from a heli ride. i think you would've got to the point. is diving still there and R* is telling the press to release no parachutes? think about it guys

ScarySquirrel
They will be under an NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) So even if they did these things, it is likely that certain aspects of the game they were not allowed to talk about to the public. Slamman
Even though it's hands on, it's not the whole game that they are playing, from my understanding. Rockstar was offering a modified working version where they still have control over events.
Jonny04
They were running it on a debug Xbox 360 or a PS3 running a command line. This enables Rockstar from a PC to control certain things, skip to missions, give them all weapons etc. The previewers basically describe it as "developers cheat mode" but its really just running in debug. Slamman
Yep, that's about it. Not everyone thought of diving from heights, but it is a nice thing to know how THAT aspect has changed
Darrel
To be honest i dont think some journalists have a clue how to play a game or write a preview.
Fnorg
No, as said above, they're just not allowed to tell.

True even though they play the game doesnt mean they can tell use everythin about it. Its up to how much info on the gae they can talk about. Fuzzknuckles
@Darrel... You read about the room of testers who are trying all manner of gameplay to find bugs?? I want that job... I'd KILL for that job!!! hahaha Believe me, you wouldn't. I games tested for nearly two years and it ruined games for me. I barely ever play them now, as I can't bear to find a bug in a released game. It sucks all the fun out of a game, completely. Signatures are dumb anyway. I presume that most magazines and beta testers who have played the build would mostly focus on killing and driving. two hours for a beta test is not long

I'd KILL for that job!!! hahaha They tend to be college age or younger simply because the pay sucks; but you do get to play all day. Knew this temp who used to work with me and his cousin worked for Bethesda at the time so he got him a summertime gig making ~$7/hr; since he was a student livin at home with his moms, it worked out great for him. Hell, I'd love to do it too; even considered openin up a 'tester firm' so to speak...but that never actually got past my eyeballs and out of my head so an idea is all its ever been.
