Macauley
I haven't seen any topics going on about the Slow motion stuff yet: http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2008/03/13/...ving/#more-2782 Tell me if it's old, but doesn't look like it. On XBox, you hold B and you get the cinematic view and then press the left stick. It discusses the possiblities of GTA4 with that. EDIT: I forgot to say that it was only when in a car, more like Burnout's "Aftertouch" or Need For Speed's speed breaker. MysteryGamer
Yeah I am assuming that the slow-mo effect will be similar to the Max Payne games. Which is not a bad thing in my view because I am quite a fan of the Max Payne series too. The slow-mo feature will probably be good when using a sniper rifle. This recently released screenshot is showing the slow-mo effect I am pretty certain of that:
Macauley
Oh, sorry, I mean in cars. I forgot to say that, I assumed people would look at the link. It's more like Burnout's after touch. The guy's references Max Payne.

However I think we will be able to switch the slow-mo effect on and off when on foot or in a vechile. I wonder whether it will be something that we can do at anytime during the game or whether you can only do it occasionally.
Macauley
I hope we can do it anytime, I hate have time restrictions and stuff. I think it would be much better if you can use it all the time. Or under certain circumstances, like if you were in a car chase, get the adrenalin pumping first. On foot, it would be cool if when you get low on health it goes slow mo until the health starts to recharge.
MCone
I can see it now. I go off a ramp at high speed, at just the right angle to do a barrel roll, all while chasing some guy. I hit the slo-mo and in the middle of the barrel roll, shoot the guy in the head, and then land and drive off like it was nothing. This is going to allow some awesome stuff to happen. gta-guru
I think this was mentioned in the first preview in gameinformer, well I know I read this sometime ago. If it makes even one thing less frustrating i'll be satisfied
thewaytogo12
It does not say whether or not you can use Slow Motion when not in a car. And I'm assuming you can. Mind you, Not like what happens in Max Payne.
