ROCKY-BALBOA Posted March 14, 2008 Share Posted March 14, 2008 This is a new building in New York,(Bank of America Tower) i think it is finished or is close.. It looks futuristic, and is almost the hight of the empire state building..It is 2nd tallest in New york.. Has anyone spoted it in any videos..? We've seen that area of the game many times from different angles and haven't seen that building. Anyway the game takes place in 2007 (most likely they didn't change that) so it wouldn't be there. Looks absolutely sensational cant wait to walk through a quiet park area like that then unleash hell. Even with the extra info it's still hopelessly out of date....and doesn't have any building shown after the 3rd trailer....and it's missing many from before then too..like 17 State Street. It works for them now because they don't want anyone playing the game to perceive seasons, therefore their original announcement that it would take place in october 2007 would cause a context for players to try to track the months that go by; again, something they don't want. It's better for them to set it in the general time period of 2008 plus, the game doesn't have to replicate everything that is in new york--while it is based on new york, it can't have everything that is there, and it helps give the city its own character besides the funny or clever names on the buildings.
