If EA's offer to the share holders of Take Two Interactive sounds promising, Take Two has no choice but to enter talks or be acquired by EA. mmmfloorpie Posted March 13, 2008 Share Posted March 13, 2008 Well EA wants to buy Take Two before GTA4 comes out because all of us will greatly increase Take Two's stock value by buying 9 million copies of GTA4... So delaying the release would probably hurt their stock value... That is why Take Two balked at EA's initial proposal earlier and told them to 'wait until after GTA4 comes out' because their stock will go up and EA will be forced to pay more for the company... rubix99 Posted March 13, 2008 Share Posted March 13, 2008 EA clearly smells the money that GTA is guarenteed to make. The offer they have given to Take 2 shareholders expires on the 11th April. Clearly a signal they want Take 2 prior to the release. Not too sure if the games will be delayed or not.....but if it is it wont be that long. Maybe R* will jump ship, delay the game for a little while to make any necessary changes they would have to make since they would have to change the name and release it under a name other than GTA IV sometime later this year. Wow your very very very paranoid, do you honestly think they'll change the name? and if ea take over it will have ea on the cover, it will bassically be GTAIVEA so a kinda name change lol. As for T2 and rockstar, im sure contracts were signed etc. only those people within those two company's will have any idea on whats going on.
