DTre
How about some more underground!? i.e. Papoose, Saigon and Immortal Technique! Saigon is tight, I'm still waiting for greatest story. Haha, Lil' Poose is a funny cat, I heard he was gonna sign to the unit. With all this Fat Joe sh*t going down. Papoose got some real lyrics and sh*t. Saigon as of late has been putting out nothing, I'd rather hear Papoose over Saigon but that's just me. Fat Joe started the sh*t, I don't Papoose will be going to the unit. Fat Joe needed a publicity stunt, seemed like it failed a little bit but sh*t it's not like anyone buys albums anymore. I know I will buy the Nacirema Dream and Greatest Story NEVER Told
Fnorg
I might have missed something in the OP, but how's this relevant to GTA IV? Someone explain, is his music in the game...? I'm confused.

I admit his first debut album (that got scrapped when he got shot) "Power Of The Dollar" is a great album it has a more underground sound to it and it's miles away from Curtis, The Massacre etc. Lyrically it's 50 Cent at his best in fact his mixtapes were good with DJ Whoo Kid before he signed up to Dr Dre's Aftermath Records label. Gjones712
I just want some Masta Ace, Joe Budden, Nas (The absolutely need to put New York State of Mind in there somewhere, though I doubt it), Rakim, Gang Starr... By the way, there is some very good Hip-Hop out there... you just have to weed through all the garbage to get to it. A lot of people just look at the crap that's being pushed onto the public by media outlets and assume that's what Hip-Hop has become. That's so untrue. If you actually look on your own, you'll find a lot of gems out there. I do find that about 80% of the Hip-Hop i listen to now is from the '80s or '90s, though. That was the golden era. Yeah Nas and Gang Starr are legendary it would be awesome for some DJ premier productions on Grand Theft Auto IV but I doubt there will be any. I agree as well that most Hip-Hop is rubbish I listen to the older tracks early 90's mainly, although I am still hoping that Dr Dre will stop messing about and release the much delayed Detox ablum already I know it will probably be amazing. It's taking forever to come out though. In my opinion this is what most Hip-Hop music is like now, cheesy rappers with little talent. Yung Joc for one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6mMZR1p4q0 Sorry for going off topic. Edited March 13, 2008 by MysteryGamer
Coons2k4
damnnnn havent heard that song in a while lol Styles P, one of the illest out of the Rotten Apple. His new sh*t off Pete Rock's album is dope too. I am hoping for some Ghostface, Nas (Illmatic), Biggy, Wu Tang Clan and sh*t like that on the soundtrack. Styles P the illest?? LOL you must be smoking crack. He's garbage. He tries WAY too hard to make his words rhyme, making it sound completely unnatural. Commercial Hip-Hop now-a-days is absolutely f*cking trash. Yung Joc for one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6mMZR1p4q0 Sorry for going off topic. You hit the nail right on the head. These assholes today think they are rappers, it makes me sh*t my pants from the laughter. I mean, just listen to some of the retarded sh*t they say. I know people that can flow better than these cherkovs write rhymes. Get it? Cherkovs? LOL But seriously, Its beyond me how a lot of these so-called "rappers" make money. Its a travesty really. p.s.- I just watched that young joc video...HOLY sh*t that motherf*cker is talkin, he aint rapping. Shows you how f*cking uneducated people are today if they can listen to that sh*t and thinks its rap...so f*cking sad these assholes are making money and you have underground rappers who are 20 times nicer, yet they dont fit the "image". Someone please explain to me how this f*cker is making money.... Edited March 13, 2008 by Coons2k4
gta95
Styles P like all modern rappers is sh*t.good hip hop don't get made anymore. its time has passed. Just go underground. Mainstream is sh*t, but underground is hot. Heres some artists that you will like. P.S. I prefer the old school of course (Wu-Tang, Snoop Doggy Dogg, Dre, D.O.C., MC REN, Kool G Rap, KRS-One, etc.) Little Brother (my favorite) MF DOOM (excellent) Jurassic 5 eMC (Masta Ace headlines the group) Murs De La Soul A Tribe Called Quest Madlib (great producer) J Dilla (Best producer of all time, RIP) Mos Def 9 Wonder (his beats are off the chain)
Gjones712
Damn, how the hell did I manage to forget A Tribe Called Quest. I'd kill to have Check The Rhime or Award Tour somewhere in GTAIV.
