JamesEarlCash
It may be nothing, it have have already been brought up but I noticed in the Edge magazine preview the following interesting text segment: "...the process of establishing new radio stations, resurrecting old ones, writing and producing the DJ banter..." If this is true and old radio stations are recurring, perhaps from GTAIII and we take can take this as written confirmation with a pinch of salt; which one's could you see or would like to see returning in 2008. Lazlow is also mentioned briefly in the article which might signal the return of Chatterbox, could Fernando be back? Head Radio could make a third appearance in the gta series if you discount GTA:LCS. Game Radio or even unlikely reformats of stations from the 80's or 90's and returning guest spots. Discus. Slamman
VROCK or similar... Since SLAYER and a few that Lazlow claimed to play in the harder of the station's set, well... needless to say I've been suggesting countless musical acts... in the hopes. Even if not used in this GTA, they can always license even more tracks with all the money they make off GTA4?!? AM I right or AM I right??? To start the ball rolling ... Testament classic Practice..... Oh, acquivelent of MSX it appears and of course a modern Chatterbox. Could we see Lazlow doing that instead of music in the game. OptimumPx
The only radio station I'm expecting to return is Head Radio, which has been in every version of Liberty City in some form or another since the beginning.

OJsAlibi
I forgot what preview said it but they know "funk, reggae, jazz, dance, Jamaican, pop, hardcore, hip hop and an Eastern European" radio stations are accounted for. When they say 'hardcore', I'm guessing they mean metal. Doesn't take MENSA to figure out KJAH is returning if reggae was accounted for during the hands-on preview (there seems to be a bold line separating reggae and Jamaican music). According to Wikipedia, Lips 106 is the defined 'pop' station. This information and the fact the emblem seen in the first trailer probably justifies any speculation that Lips 106 is in the game. and Head Radio is soft rock, adult contemporary... which may mean Head Radio is gone. The eastern european station is obviously Vladivostok FM. Funk of course is IF99. Hip hop is either Liberty Jam or Game Radio.
Slamman
Danzig's guitar player is John Christ. He left the band but I always was drawn to them not only for the music but because he has played his black BC Rich Bich guitar on stage and in video. Most who do have these guitars keep them for studio work or at home, they are rather spendy and handmade so musicians prefer to take care of them. I own three BCR Biches myself. I am not sure if that's what you asked -> @tld Back in 78, the guitar was freshly designed by Neal Moser, who I spoke with online and he's excellent... have to say. Here Joe Perry and the boys LIVE in 78 at Texxas Jam. Edited March 14, 2008 by Slamman

TheDude5000
We already have two non-Chatterbox talk radio stations confirmed, don't we? Chatterbox might be a part of those, like LCFR in LCS. HEAD will probably come back, along with K-JAH and LIPS 106. Maybe MSX, and there's a small chance of Rise. I mean if things like Cluckin' Bell and Liberty Tree are coming back, I don't see why radio stations can't come back either.

Hmmm nice bike
Lips 106 is likely to return. In the first trailer, to the right there is a billboard with a lip-looking thing on it, similar to the Lips 106 logo. Also, the Lips 106 teaser site for LCS says that there is an "exciting, new relaunch coming soon!" Unless that's been there since the site launched in 2005. werenotfugazi
Since about '92, I've been very much into jungle / drum & bass / breakbeat, so I'd be absolutely fcking thrilled if MSX from GTA III returned in IV. The fan art I did for the MSX: I'd like to hear Goldie, Dillinja, Bukem & Peshay, Ed Rush, Optical, AK1200, DieselBoy, and any of the cats from the Metalheadz crew out of the UK. The video below is a great Metalheadz Jungle history of... Are there any other junglists on this board? If so, do you guys remember the old school Mooshine label, 140 BPM+ compilations from back in the day? How about if R put cuts like that in their game? Other good jungle: Edited March 14, 2008 by werenotfugazi
TheDude5000
Who knows, they might go for something more recent, and save the older songs for future titles that take place in the past.
Slamman
I'm going to offer Rockstar more then my usual Heavy Metal video suggestions (actually suggesting the song, of course!<G>) with a move to hard rock or rock and then some numbers that fall within the rock/adult contemp. catagory. That is if I can find the same thing via YT that I would own in my own music collection. This happens to be one of the first CDs I got when I joined BMG CD club to build my collection. KIX with Cold Blood! Still, VERY similar, this is a rare rockin track! HELIX from Canada Edited March 14, 2008 by Slamman
TheDude5000
Just get me good metal. Not that groaning black metal where the singers sounds like someone scraped the inside of his throat with a cheese grater. Normal Iron Maiden/Judas Priest/Dio metal, Thrash, Groove, the good stuff. But I'm more in the alternative rock mood this year. So I hope we get a good station there. A mix of older stuff from the 90's, and more recent stuff like QOTSA. Theres a good chance of an indie/underground/punk station as well, because of that song in the second trailer. Though that might not make it into the actual game itself, kind of like when the Scarface: The World Is Yours had Kickstart My Heart in the tv commercials but Motley Crue was nowhere to be found in the actual game. Slamman
I'll add some variety, but I personally listen to the stuff I put up on the various threads. I think it covers a bit of ground. Here's what p*ssed me off, not R* so much as the first game series I got of Big Muther Truckers... I thought it was GONNA be a heck of a lot better then it turned out to be. Rather boring but even more then that, the radio simulated Rockstar's approach with fictional music that had NO BEARING with what the DJs were bantering about. I was so let down I didn't bother with the sequel. It could have been something much more. -B SO, here we'll move towards the slow lane with music I also own! This is Rick Fenn of 10CC fame (used in VCS) and Nick Mason, drummer for Pink Floyd! David Gilmour joins him for this single, as well as his guitar I believe ^ You'll note I am limiting my YouTube edits to two per post, it flows smoother that way. With that, here's numero 2... Tragically Hip..again, Canadian band that is very popular back in the day. Still around though. This song took on new signifigance when the New Orleans city was struck during Hurricane Katrina. TheDude5000
Bring back Game Radio! Underground Rap for da win. I don't think it will. Notice how in LCS there was no GAME FM, instead it was Liberty Jam. And LCS and III were only 2-3 years apart, so I don't think they care much about keeping the name. I mean if Liberty Jam disappeared in less than three years, that shows Game FM was probably replaced by another station long before 2007.
