Darrel
It could spoil the missions plots if read beforehand. Edited March 12, 2008 by Darrel

For the young people who needs help on beating GTA IV(Makes it less fun) And the stategy guides have some cool information other then mission details like maybe charecter profiles. CarpetDweller
Order it if you want it, but be selective about what you read. Example: I ordered the San Andreas one and don't believe anything was really ruined for me because I completed each mission before reading about it. I know that might sound stupid, but I buy it more for later reference, replay and as a souvenir of my time in the game. [san Andreas spoilers ahead] By doing that I was still surprised by Catalina, Claude, the trip to St Marks, the Jetpack and the Riots. It is fairly safe to read the vehicle and weapons lists because the big surprises like Jetpack were mentioned but not specifically stating what they are or showing a picture to keep the mystery. So you know there's something interesting, but don't know what it is.

ryder4lyfe
Car List Guide on missions Like one of the previous members stated, simply don't read the missions in the guide until you beat that mission. & looking at the weapons & vehicles won't spoil anything, it actually hypes me up even more b/c then i see what cars are eligable to drive in the game and i get even more eagered to drive them. I mean, driving around GTA4, not knowing any of the vehicles that include in it, and you driving around checking them out would be fun, but would take too long b/c there are vehicles that are in some areas and not others, and some are rare on the streets. So i will buy the guide, read it on the way home with the game, and just check out the cars & stuff. After a while i will read other sh*t it's got in it. JayD225
I think you should go on ahead and beat the game first. Once you beat the game, then you may buy the strategy guide. I think the Strategy Guide might/will be useful for you because you will probably need help discovering some things in GTA, guide you where all the hidden packages are and etc. Also, wait until you beat the game because I don't think you will be able to not skim through the pages, It will spoil everything for you. It's a NO, so don't because you will regret it. My opinion! Edited March 12, 2008 by JayD225
TenaciousD.
Last Brady Guide I got was sh*t, maps were unclear and they missed off about 10 vehicles from the list. Kippers and mine Car Database was more accurate.
