gtamodder Posted March 12, 2008 Share Posted March 12, 2008 (edited) I recently bought a Intel Quad Core 2 Q6600 2.4ghz and new RAM (Which is 2gb), and I need a new video card. I had an 8800 GT, But my brother needed it in his PC, And I got some money to buy the new RAM, But Now I don't have much, and I need a good card. I have an 8500 GT, and I wanna run some new games, and playing Crysis on that card, is playable, and runs ok, but only on low detail at a resolution of 800 x 600 x 32. And I can't use medium details. And I don't like playing it on low details. Since I don't have much money, I can't get a 9600 GT even, or a 8800 GT, I could get the 8600 GTS, But should I get it if I have a 8500 GT? GTA3Freak-2001 Posted March 13, 2008 Share Posted March 13, 2008 A 9600GT shouldn't be much more then a 8600GTS, so you are better off saving a bit more and going for the 9600GT which outperforms it easily while coming very close to that of a 8800GT.
