Have you ever heard of using thumbnails? mad.gif

It really annoys me when someone posts lots of large images in one go.

Good to see an original train idea, as opposed to the constanly re-hashed overdone Euro-trains. Maybe you should try modeling the Back To The Future III train too? Just a thought.

Keep up the good work. wink.gif

You reckon I want to pay €200,- just to ride a virtual train?

Did you make a new collision file for the interior/seats? You know, like the enterable plane mods I see all the time? That'd be a nifty little addition. Imagine, being able to actually ride as a passenger on the Brown Streak.

Sure! I'm still learning many things, as making a custom collision model. The custom col of the locomotive is almost done, just needs a few spheres, if you know what I mean happy.gif ...

Does anybody know if there's the possibility to change something in the handling- or vehicleline, so the driver of the train is standing instead of sitting?

I have next to no modeling skills but why not use the dingys driving animation.

CJ is standing when he drives them.

Uhhh... you can download the NS trains for free and Microsoft Train Simulator is available for €5,99,- at bol.com

Or you are talking about upgrading your computer for this game. In that case it is possible to spend €200,- on it.

OMFG! use thumbnails or at least optimise your images

how hard can it be?? bored.gif

lol.

Well, I don't mind the pics, although I'm getting very close to my monthly data transfer limit.

On the subject of letting CJ stand, I'd need to check with Persanity how far he got with that.

He wanted to do the same with the hydra, but all regular tricks failed completely. He had to resort to scripting if I'm not mistaken

Thanks for the advice but I won't bother just to be able to pilot a Koploper xD It was a quasi-request, more like a suggestion.

Looking good !

You should check "Spec Highlight" in z-mod's material editor, should lighten up your model ingame ..

bumster: Do you post here only to whine about his pictures size ? Just dont come in the topic if you dont care about the train

You should bodymap it, and give some specular, it looks black! bodymap is easy and you will get a better texture result...

Bodymap isn't really possible in Sketchup tounge.gif Highlighting by using Omni lights etc. doesn't work really..

3Dmax can render textures really good, you should get out of sketchup, lol. Using vertex colors on cars can get kinda weird, aplying specular to it should be correct, and some reflections... its metal! You did think about adding particles? tounge.gif

Puma06111991

Well, I tried to get the SA reflection maps on it but that didn't work. I got no errors when exporting it, but didn't see a reflection or anything else like it ingame: it looked the same.

I won't get out of Sketchup devil.gif What's a specular (I'm not very wellknown with functions in 3dsMax)?

I don't like it yet angry.gif

Oh, and the shadowcol needs to be lifted up, the train now sinks into the ground..

hmm ... doesn't the train have a vehicles.ide line? A bit of messing around with the wheels sizes might help.

:') Thanks.

Problem...

I was just playing SA to test the new collision, but when I walked somewhere in the game my screen began to create weird stuff looking like fabric or something.. Well, my computer hasn't produced anything since then. Crash.. Bad for me, I hope I can get it fixed but it doesn't seem ok..

No downloads and updates untill.. Dunno when mad.gif
