BobsYourUncle... Posted March 12, 2008 Share Posted March 12, 2008 I wouldn't really think so somehow, The Getaway has a completely different style to GTA in every one of their sandbox games. GTA has always stuck to the comedy around their cities, (all the 69s, sprunk) while The Getaway has really kept realistic to it's settings which has mainly been London, they make it look more or less exactly the same while GTA re-design their cities. CarpetDweller Posted March 12, 2008 Share Posted March 12, 2008 The nearest thing I can think of is that I've heard that there are first-aid kits in buildings to refill the health meter. They had that in Getaway: Black Monday. Other than that I suppose GTAIV is a more real life-like (slightly) this time and Getaway aims for more realism, but no I don't think they are. To some extent all new games feed off and learn from everything that has come before. GTA is no exception, but I don't think anyones likely to sue R* for plagiarism this time. Give us examples and pictures of Getaway, and then we will believe you. Maybe. EDIT: I thought the Getaway felt a little clunky, especially when on foot.
