joe_bevis
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/gaming/a91411/...ic-updates.html Games publisher Take2 has announced it plans to invest heavily in creating regular, episodic content for its main future titles, including Grand Theft Auto IV. “We also have significant visibility into fiscal 2009, which includes additional episodic content for Grand Theft Auto IV, Mafia II, Borderlands, BioShock 2, our complete sports lineup, additional Nick Jr. titles under our agreement with Nickelodeon, and several new brands,” Take2 CEO Ben Feder said. Although the forthcoming additional content for GTA IV is exclusive to Xbox 360, according to trade paper MCV Take2 could release 'similar' content for PS3 owners later on, stating: "The fact that Feder (Take2 CEO) neglects to mention any specific platforms for 2009 suggests that perhaps PS3 owners will be treated to similar delights later down the line." Take2 also stated both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Grand Theft Auto IV are identical, but added that the PS3 edition features a 'slightly warmer colour palette'. OysterBarron
dan houser did mention this! and also taking it from a multiplayer experience into a MMo experience which could be done via DLC, which in my view will be awesome!
Jonny04
You read it wrong- only the Xbox will get episodic content- the PS3 may be offered DLC but not extra gameplay.
mac915
So what the 360 gets is exclusive to the 360 and will never be on the PS3. However, the PS3 will get episodic content. So, will the 360 get the same content the PS3 gets also, or will that new content be only for PS3. /In before fanboy war
$tr4nger
the PS3 edition features a 'slightly warmer colour palette'. Wonder if this is a good thing or a bad thing?..

So expect only what Sony will pay for.
Jonny04
the PS3 edition features a 'slightly warmer colour palette'. Wonder if this is a good thing or a bad thing?.. Warmer of course leaning more towards the reds, oranges, yellow. The 360 is described as more vibrant.

I like the sound of 'vibrant' a lot more.. I just hope they are in fact very slight differences or I'll be a dissapointed ps3 owner.

Great Saiyaman
some hard core nerd will convert the dlc from the 360 to ps3 someday somehow
Chargr
PS3 will get DLC, and do you know why? Because R* themselves said it, "We want this game to last". And to make it last you need to give both consoles DLC.

And to make it last you need to give both consoles DLC. Or you could just call it Grand Theft Auto and it will sustain itself for years. GTA doesn't NEED any content to make it last. SlakOne
I wonder how long this will go on. Could it be possible to go through at least half of 2009? I hope so.
Jayt001
This means nothing. I'm not doubting the fact that there is a possibilty that in the future PS3 will get some form of DLC, its just speculation bullsh*t in that article. The 2009 dlc they're talking about is clearly episode two for the 360. That's it.
YourNeighborhoodKiller
Nice that we'll be seeing it too. But I'm not too worried about it.

I was playing Vice City up until the day San Andreas came out, and I played San Andreas until my PS2 packed in last year. Just like the vast majority of GTA fans.
