imheretostay
I'm trying to use Fraps .avi's in Windows Movie Maker, but it won't import it (even though it used to import in fine when I was on XP...). I searched around and got Vdub, but when I choose the video compression "Fraps video decompressor) in vdub, it tells me it can't find "compatible format". Anyone know a solution to this? Otter
It may just be a bad video file, dude. Have you tried making a new one?
imheretostay
No, Otter, all of them are like that although they work fine otherwise and it's always been like this whenever I'm on Vista.
Otter
Will they play back properly, in WMP or Winamp? It may be something as silly as a codec you need to download. Otherwise, get a copy of mpeg streamclip and try that. Sometimes quicktime has better luck exporting these types of videos. You'll want to choose "export as avi" and choose Apple DV/DVCPRO NTSC as the compressor. Set the quality to full, progressive frames, and save it somewhere you have a lot of space. imheretostay
As I said, they can't be imported to WMM, so no, they don't play there, but in WMP and all the other players I've tried they're fine.
