JCThriller Posted March 12, 2008 Share Posted March 12, 2008 I have a strange feeling that my xbox will F Up after i get the game. Like if you play it for hours or something. Im on my second xbox. The first one didnt get rings, it just didnt want to read disk all the time.. The second ones been fine but i think its gonna frig up. Anyone else feel this way? Symbiote666 Posted March 12, 2008 Share Posted March 12, 2008 If you take care of it (no dust, well ventilated area, not running for hours and hours at a time, not moving it, not blocking the vents, hard surface, keeping it in a cool place, not like a cabinet or something that it can be boxed into) you stand a far better chance of it not failing. I used to have a PS2, which I had to get repaired twice due to poor calibration of the laser - funny how what seem to be die-hard Playstation fans have forgotten about that issue, which affected a lot of my friends as well as me. I think if you look after your console it should be fine, it's no wonder people have problems when you see their setups - console on the carpet, or no ventilation, not dusted, standing it vertically (this shouldn't be a problem, but I've had more problems reading discs in the past with the console vertical). But I have faith in Xbox as I haven't had any problems at all since I bought it, whereas I had many problems with the PS2. Fingers crossed. Besides the top, theres still like 60 holes on the back and i know theres dust in there, im bout towrap that sh*t in plastic till the end of april.
