spork of doom!!!
Im a little ticked off at rockstar right now because as a ps3 owner that hasnt seen really anything on GTA4 running on a ps3 im a little worried about what im to expect from it. i just think that us ps3 fans need some reassuring...i mean i just that this whole 'are they the same?' is being displayed a little one-sided

CrazeLaze
I got a 360 cause of last Gen: Last Gen PS2 = Less power, more games Xbox = More power, less games This Gen Xbox 360 = Less power, More games PS3 = More power, less games (+ Blu-Ray) I'm not a fanboy to a specific company, I just choose which ever console looks better. completeidiot23
I've always considered myself a PS person. From the first one vs n64 to the ps2 vs xbox but this time around I will be getting a 360. Purely for the games (Bully, Table Tennis and GTa IV)

completeidiot23
I never knew what it was until they it was mentioned in this forum. To me GTa has never been about graphics, always the gameplay. (Just then I put my GBA with GTa advance to reply.)
freestyle187
It doesn't indicate a lack of aliasing, probably just less aliasing. I doubt the PS3 will have 8x anyway. Probably 4x for the PS3 and 2x for the 360, or something like that. I got my GoGoGoGoGoGoGoGADGET FLOW! Actualy the 360 is incapable of good AA with an HD output. http://www.i4u.com/article3401.html "the graphics performance at HDTV resolution (1920 × 1080px). At this resolution with 32bit color depth and a 4x multi-sampling for anti-aliasing the Xbox 360 frame-buffer of 10MB is way too small. To compensate that the transfer-rate to the GDDR3 is important, and that is only middle-class compared to PC graphic-cards" Mid range graphics cards from 2005. Which if i remember correctly is roughly a 6600GT card. One thing that card couldnt do is run AA at HD resolutions. The fact that somebody saw enough difference to mention the PS3's superior picture quality is very telling. Yes the 360 has more indepth colours but a quick 30 seconds with your TV remote will sort that out right away. ryder4lyfe
I've always been a PS fan. Ever since ps1. I always defended my ps2 from fanboy xbox owners... But when i was on the spot to either buy a ps3 & a 360, most of my attention was to the 360 mostly b/c of xbox live. Xbox live & Achievments have to be the two greatest features that brings consumers to them. -of course having alot of games for that system is also a plus ---The only regret that i have for buying the 360 is the fact that i'm worried about the red ring of death, & I can't play MLB the show anymore But overall, i'm happy that i made the right choice with the 360, i have nothing wrong against the ps3, i wish i had one also, but i'd take the 360 over the ps3 anyday. Anyway, back on topic, there was a preview for the ps3 version, and i bet now, the rest of the previews and possibily fourth trailer (if there is one) will propably be on the ps3. So your wait to see ps3 gameplay is almost over.

d00d
No need to be worried. I forgot which month, but it was very recent where one of the gaming publications were shown a PS3 build of the game - and from the 360 one they saw earlier, there was virtually no difference (besides the newer build being more stable, but thats expected). They both exist. No need to hyperventilate.

Im left wondering why exactly the 360 cant handle AA at a lower resolution then... Unless the AA dificulties are evident even at 720p (?) Either way the 360 cant simulate AA but the ps3 can have its colours altered via the TV.

JamesEarlCash
Keep Ya Head Up. A Rockstar developer interviewed in a PS3 mag only this month confirmed that PS3 will indeed be getting its own "different" content - thats right from the horses mouth. Feel better? Microsoft may have bought the rights to their own exclusive content, that doesn't mean they can get their hands on other consoles' content should the powers that be decide that the PS3 merits its own extras, there's no indication on the scale or scope of the PS3 content, but at least your not totally left out in the cold. There could be PS3 episodes we just don't know.

No what I saying is that at 720p there is alot less image data and more memory free for AA, so xbox360 can handle it fine. Hardly any games run at 1080p on either platform anyway so that argument is pointless. Now if you had proof that the 360 couldnt handle AA at 720p then that would be different story:P
