freestyle187
There were some new quotes from Sam Houser's interview with EDGE magazine. These are directly quoted. ----- Find the source here. " - And that DLC promises to be pretty damn substantial, maybe even equating to something rivalling a whole new game when it’s all released: "I think the mission packs with the episodes are going to be pretty deep, offering another full-on adventure in this world. I think we will be in a position to market them not a million miles away from the way the boxed game is marketed." "Is it too big? I don't know. It might be. It certainly is big, definitely. But again, I'll go back to what I said earlier: it's a good problem to have. And I never want people feeling that we've duped them in any way, shape or form". This all sounds pretty great, for those of us purchasing the game on the 360. Edit: I just wanted to add, by no means am I trying to start a console flame war, or anything of the likes. Just informing those of us grabbing the game on 360 of some good news. Edited March 12, 2008 by freestyle187

josh995
Good. I hope they cost 25 dollars a piece then, if they are rivaling a whole new game.
freestyle187
this is old Link? Good. I hope they cost 25 dollars a piece then, if they are rivaling a whole new game. The price really wouldn't bother me, for me, any new GTA content is good content. Edited March 12, 2008 by freestyle187
rasomaso
Hm (PS3 owner) I hope it at least stays in one city, just the missions...

God knows what $50 mil buys you in the game development world. It could be quite substantial, if they use the textures and stuff on the disc already, they can add a fair bit of new stuff. Look what Shivering Isles did for Oblivion, that was only about 1.5GB, yet the vastness of the new content was massive. Shivering Isles x2? That could be fooking suh-weet. Niptwist
This all sounds great. A great way to extend a great game and I will be getting the DLC's no matter what they cost. In the end it will all be worth it.

OptimumPx
Just wanted to point out that the 2nd part of the quote isn't about the DLC. Not that that initial adventure isn't sounding massive. Maybe even excessively so. "Is it too big? I don't know. It might be. It certainly is big, definitely. But again, I'll go back to what I said earlier: it's a good problem to have. And I never want people feeling that we've duped them in any way, shape or form". He's talking about the main game there. And second of all the first part of his quote proves it isn't additional maps. I think the mission packs with the episodes are going to be pretty deep, offering another full-on adventure in this world. They're just mission packs not whole new worlds or Staten Island or anything.
