Slamman
I don't know if I spelled her name right [fixed the body now, anyway!] , but I happened to snap on the TV to see Gene sharing the cooking table with Rachel Ray on her cooking day time talk show! She's endorsing a number of products on food store shelves so she's EVERYWHERE but to see KISS fans on a cooking show was almost surreal. Seems she's a real fan so her cred went up in my book! haha Gene announced that KISS will get back together to celebrate their 35 year career and tour the WORLD again! They were everywhere. TV, Radio, even the back of nearly every comic book had KISS posters on the cover and ads inside as well. Magazines, Action Figures too and that does not even begin to get to the point. The christian community freaked in an angry mob manner for them as well. To a child the were imposing and facinating....We used to take turns pretending to be the different characters of the band in 2nd grade.....James Bond, Flash Gordon, Tarzan, The Man From Atlantis in later years, and many superheroes but KISS had magic powers and that was captivating for 1st through 6th graders and we knew we were cool because the High School kids liked them too....(for completely different reasons of course considering the lyrics but hey we didn't know that.) Slamman
Ha Ha Ha HA On one episode, they constructed a wax replica to put in the Hollywood Wax Museum or some such nonsense <G> And at the conclusion, there was open discussion on the size of her rack... comparing to the replica, man I was glad to witness that moment! She's got nice cleavage on display I've been a KISS fan since I was 6 to 10 years old I would say.... as long as I can remember. Kids in school were anti-KISS but mainly anti-rock and I grew to adhere to my convictions after I almost let them shape my likes and dislikes. Stick to your guns and don't let people tell you how to live! Moral of that little story. About that Crossroads Britney movie...Doesn't exist in my mind, there is only one CrossRoads! 1986 film by Walter Hill. (Steve Vai, anyone??) @Typhus, I think you refer to the original TV movie Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park! I know it was a major mess, but I watched it again on the 3 pack DVDs of various live and TV appearances and it looks good, features some songs from the then new Gene Simmons solo album. I wanted to just know more about the band in the real world, they themselves thought they could act, but saw, and admitted afterward, it was very 'wooden' and cheesy. Recall Sgt. Peppers film as well with Peter Frampton, Aerosmith, Bee Gees, and Alice Cooper? I had to see that again as I was a major Aerosmith fan so I bought the bubblegum picture cards at the time! Silly, but the Rocks album still blows me away to this day!! Edited March 12, 2008 by Slamman

bagga rabbit
I mean what rock band makes a disco song? Most of them tried it at one time or another in the 1970's. It was the thing to do.

(Steve Vai, anyone??) Steve Vai vs the Karate Kid (Ralph Macchio? Macchiato? I forget his name) in a solo-off. Best guitar-based film scene of all time. Yeah! Ralph Macchio (sp?) I always get that wrong. When Michael J Fox did his back to the Future guitar solo, he was actually learning on the set and had played guitar in his personal life. For Ralph it was mimic'd (if that's the word) He was instructed but didn't really play the music. Vai did both sections of the Cuttin Heads Dual. As for Kiss fans dying...no, we're still here and in numbers! One disco attempt does not kill a band. Rolling Stones did their 'four on the floor/Charlie Watts' disco attempt in the late 70s too, but it was much better...if that matters! KISS started in 1974 officially, but were a band prior to that (Wicked Lester). Bad Company formed about that time. That wasn't the era of disco (BigBALL room dancing) yet

That wasn't the era of disco (BigBALL room dancing) yet Yet they were climaxing during the Disco era big time and that had an influence on them. The were in on everything at the time and that means they are not guilty of anything just because they did a little (disco) along with everything else. So what? Disco was the time of things and who can blame the band who dropped into it when exploring their own developing taste in music. Big Bands are good too, don't get me wrong, but that should not exclude them from being involved in the times as they pass. Pink Floyd changed quite abit over the years and that is not only because of Waters, either. Why not Kiss? It would make me laugh if Kiss came back and did some Black Metal or Death Metal.....Maybe even some Industrial.
Slamman
When KISS returned with Psycho Circus, there was some mixed feelings, so new material maybe hard for them, but the retrospective DVDs cover the non makeup years as well as the very first show on tape... It really is a MUST OWN in my book, in fact, I plan on enjoying again soon! It was remixed in surround as well. Pink Floyd has some very interesting influences... Richard Wright self claimed himself a 'jazz head'. Richard and David played together the most in recent years. -B

Slamman
One of the 'hottest' chefs on TV! Dude, get with the program! She's on food boxes in the store too, you can't miss her! I am wondering who saw the video that leaked of Gene with another woman? He was cheating on Shannon Tweed. What was somewhat funny was the hosted site allowed viewers' comments and people were all "sizing" him up at his prowess and he has slept with 1000s of women of course!
