Worse than XBL? XBL is f*cking stable and lagless in most games. I in a far away country with sh*t infrastructure only experience sh*tty lag in Halo 3. XBL f*cking rocks. I just wish there was another Australia/NZ server.

Jonny_Tightlips
Nah, my friend had similar problems. Apparently theres a huge ammount of lag. When I tried getting on, it felt very unorganized and rushed. Hopefully they do something about it soon. ...besides that I ain't sayin nuthin. sainraja
My friend has been having problems as well but.............not lag issues. He just can't connect online with the Wii (he was able to before).....anyone else get this problem? I am going to visit his house probably on Friday to see if I can help him. It's not his connection because his PS3 and his PC connect.....PS3 is also connected wirelessly, like the Wii but the PC is wired.
SIP YEK NOD
Even worse, you need a game friend code to play online, and the system friend code to share levels, and you can't play your own levels online. its just really half assed.

Maybe it's just your connection. look at this http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=vFQePQJQTgU From that and various other reports you can conclude that only SOME people have this problem. I'm sure Nintendo is working on a fix, otherwise they'll probably piss off a lot of people. This doesn't seem like the type of game I'd like to play online anyway. With ANY online game, there's going to be some kind of lag or delay. It pisses me off enough when I try playing FPS games online and my bullets seem to take 2 seconds to exit the barrel of the gun, an otherwise good fighting game turned into a clunky button mashing slugfest because of the half second delay would irritate me even further. TubbyJ
This is Nintendo first real foray into online, on any system other than a handheld. Give 'em a break, they'll fix it. Edited March 14, 2008 by TubbyJ
Gouveia
I am in Brazil, I played brawl and there wasn't lag. XBL? sh*t, never noticed lag either.
Napalm Jason
Why would you even buy this junk anyway? Play an actual fighting game.

Scarface187
Why would you even buy this junk anyway? Play an actual fighting game. Junk? The SSB series might not be Mortal Kombat or Marvel vs. Capcom (best fighting game ever in my opinion) but they're still fun as hell games, especially when you have 4 players playing it at a time. This game is the sole reason I thought about getting Wii because I loved the last two.
Mark
Smash Bros will always be an offline multiplayer experience for me I feel. Not because I can't play it online, but there's nowt more amusing than swearing and beating your friends in real life along with kicking their arses ingame. You just can't do that online. And yeah....lag on such a fast-paced fighter just isn't clever.
Gouveia
Why would you even buy this junk anyway? Play an actual fighting game. Just because you can beat the hell out of pikachu with snake. And why do you think this game is junk?

Maybe you need glasses then. The game overall is awesome, its just the online is a little difficult. If you bought Brawl for the online its like buying Unreal Tournament for the single player campaign. Take it with a grain of salt is all I'm saying. Maybe you need glasses then. Maybe you need to answer his question rather than insult him. Besides, how the hell do you define a "real" fighting game. None of the fighting games i've seen are realistic (Fight Night Round 3 excluded). At all. I don't care if you don't like the game or not, but saying it's not a real fighting game when there is no such thing is just a ridiculous statement to make. ...besides that I ain't sayin nuthin. SyphonPayne
Super Smash Bros Brawl is my first SSB experience, once I get used to it it's downright fun! Monday I would've agreed with you about Brawl online sucking bigtime, but on Tuesday I was finally able to actually get online and play against other people instead of just spectating matches all day and I gotta say it was fun as hell! TheDude5000
Heard some pretty bad reports on the online mode. Nintendo just really dropped the ball with their online network. Funny thing is I just uninstalled my Nintendo Wi-Fi software the other day.
