Jayt001
Hey. Whenever I search for a member here and I use the option "search all available", it just gives me the whole member list. Whereas when I search using either "name contains" or "name begins with" it works fine. Obviously this isn't a major problem, just thought I'd make you guys aware of it incase you didn't know. Thanks.
Justin
What do you think "search all available" means? If you're showing "Members", 'searching all available' will bring up the list of all Members. If you're showing "BUSTED!", it'll bring up the list of all the banned members... It works fine.

Actually it doesn't, you cannot find a person if you type in the entire nickname and want their profile page, unless you can remember their ID, in which case, why are you searching? SWEETSAPRIK
you cannot find a person if you type in the entire nickname and want their profile page, unless you can remember their ID, in which case, why are you searching? Wait, do you mean their ID #? Because I've always found people just fine, and I don't even know my own # without checking. If I type I someone's full nick and select the correct options, I do find them. I always assumed it was as Justin said, if you want an entire group to come up, you leave it on "search all available", so aside from maybe changing the word "search" to "find" for that option, I don't see the problem. Mercie
Yeah... I'm with the peanut gallery here. I always search 'containing' or 'starting with' to find someone and 'all available' to find new joiners or people in a group... All available pertains to searching for a member list of a group I thought... You know, searching all available names in a certain group... makes sense to me and hey.... it works. Jayt001
So basically it does nothing? If I'm typing in that box, I want to find a specific member, right? But if I have "search all available" selected, if won't narrow my results down, well just to the specific group already selected. Maybe it should be changed to "show all available" Surely if I wanted to see all busted members I would leave the box blank in any case? It just seems weird thats all, probably because its the default option. Maybe "Name contains" should be the default option because generally when you're searching you want results, and the default option is a little misleading thats all... Mark
Is it that hard to just edit one drop-down menu? I guess so in this case. I find the tool useful really, mind you us mods would when on the PBM hunt.
TheDude5000
I find using "Name begins with" or "Name contains" to be much more helpful and accurate. Try those.
