BuffaloSoldier
That REALLY wasn't that good. I couldn't stand the death metal, and when it ended, it was kind of a flop. I expected at LEAST something moderately funny to make up for the fact that I had to listen to them scream the entire time.

BuffaloSoldier
Sorry. BLACK METAL. In general, I just don't believe that the advertisement is practical, because you have to wait so long for something relevant. Just my opinion. No flaming, please. Voodoo
That commercial was ridiculous. What the hell is the world coming to when it becomes acceptable to use metal to sling fried chicken? I weep for the future.
Otter
I saw the last three seconds the other day, and laughed my ass off. However, after seeing the whole ad, I'm more than a little let down.
Slamman
I can stand DEATH METAL to VERY HIGH volume!!<G> I just finished an 8 piece meal at KFC, good stuff! You can't go wrong, unless the chicken is too dry To EDIT, I decided to submit a name I came up with for a friend's band and he opted to go with another leading letter (dependant on the location of the demo/LP/CD in the store bin!) I had a logo designed for him to use and then at least a year later, someone came up with the name for themselves! AFTER I came up with it. Still, it is a name for a song rather then a band name! haha Edited March 12, 2008 by Slamman
Picolini
Not into the death/black/etc metals. Hardcore is better, over all, imo. Although I only saw like 1/4th of the ad because the site was loading slow, I got the gist of it, and it seemed like it'd be annoying as well on TV constantly. It should have had some Dillinger instead. Some one posted this video here before...
Slamman
That is a poor example of proficient black metal and actually one of the reasons people are quick to condemn it because a Satanic message and metal music is frankly as old as dirt and most of all, people can't relate to it. Going with more sensible lyrical topics and technically enjoyable and catchy music is what makes the great GREAT. Sodom, Venom, Bathory, and even perhaps Slayer are the forefathers and with good reason

Slamman
You'll be labeled a 'chicken' if you find yourself scared by one of the masters of the dark (musical) arts... This is a moving tribute to a lost founder of black metal; Bathory's Quorthon AKA Thomas Forsberg Bathory is as heavy as metal gets...yet some amazing acoustic/ambient work too. Moonshield
Thomas Forsberg, Slamman. :] I didn't realize people were going to debate the quality of the music in a KFC advert. Of course it's going to be sh*tty and cheesy - IT'S A f*ckING KFC ADVERTISEMENT. You people are hopeless. I thought it was funny, but the concert part should be cut down to a few much shorter clips of him shrieking and then breathing the fire, and THEN eating the chicken. The only real part vital to the joke's context is the breathing fire part, so just focus on that and not him being GRYM.
Slamman
I'll fix it, I couldn't bother another browser window as I was cutting and pasting. I own most of the Bathory albums. I had hoped for a USA tour and Quorthon wanted to do a show the equal of KISS who he admired growing up. He felt if they couldn't put on a show like that, it wasn't worth doing. Still, it would have been cool. I imported Blood Fire Death to the states at the time so my copy got airplay around here first! (although earlier there was Under The Sign of the Black Mark... that got my hooked) Enter the Eternal Fire!!! I know what you mean, most long ads, like the other ad for Denny's with the Supranos guy, that one gets cut all the time, they have to squeeze them all into a certain time limit, so most get cut even if they are shown long at some point. Sad, for the good ones that is. Edited March 12, 2008 by Slamman
