I got 3 walmarts, a circuit city, best buy, at least 4 gamestops, and more i can't think of all within 15 minutes of my house. Do you think all these places will be sold out at the end of day 1? Johnny Burbank Posted March 12, 2008 Share Posted March 12, 2008 No. I thought San Andreas would be sold out, but I got to Best Buy a good few hours after opening on Day 1 and there were dozens of them there. They even had a table set up just for the game and it was stocked with dozens of copies of the game plus all kinds of game-related stuff such as the Brady Guide and t-shirts, etc. I am not going to pre-order. I don't think there is a need to. But I will check up on it in early April to see how it's going in terms of numbers of pre-orders -- just to be sure. If you think about it, what do you think they're doing right now at some R* factory? Pumping out thousands of copies of the game, they know its going to sell tons. At least not for me because within 15 minutes of my house I have, 4 wal-marts, 1 best-buy, 7 gamestops, 1 Target, 1 comp USA, 2 krogers, 2 tom thumbs, 2 albertsons, 4 mcdonalds, 3 Taco Bells, 2 Hobby Lobbies, 2 Big Lots, 1 Petsmart, 1 Petco, 1 Starbucks, 2 Chevrons, 2 Home Depots, 1 Lowes, 1 Costco, 1 Sams Club, 3 Headshops... oh wait, those places don't sell videogames. If anything it might be sold out for a couple of days till next shipment comes in nothing major like in the past where it was month or more to find a copy. Unless you wanted to spend $500 on ebay. Believe me they'll manufacture enough normal copies of the game so that you shouldn't have a problem finding one. I personally pre-ordered the SE though. While they don' sell games, they sell accessories that make gaming more immersive. Besides, with the release so close to 4/20, you're bound to have some "immersion" left.
