Ive heard cabs will be significantly useful in the game so do you think we will be able to use other types of public transport to?

Sorry for page stretch BTW...

The animation above me shows the Lamborghini in a cop chase. Sorry if everyone knows this by now, but this is a location between Central Park and the Plaza Hotel in NYC. I should know, because I was there yesterday.

No it's not less detailed. This is in pretty much and open world game I have played. The closer you get to an object the more detailed it becomes.

JUST LIKE THE REAL WORLD!

Not to pick at your comment but its contradictive. 1st you say, "no the objects are not less detailed" (meaning the objects in the background) then you say objects that are closer are more detailed. This would make the objects further away LESS detailed. So to answer aidan87's question, yes all objects that are further away from the camera are less detailed polygon wise AND texture wise.

Until you get up close to them when they become detailed.

Everybody knows what my post meant, however you though you would massage your ego and

make it seem as if you are profound and worthy. Unfortunaley you look like a very uptight and

bored person.

Yeah, I know this is old, but those pants look REALLY bad in my opinion.  They don't look any better than CJ's jeans in San Andreas.

Those jeans would be real tight in real life. Would you rather Rockstar go the ultra-realistic route and model Niko's bulge?

hmmm maybe they dont like gay ppl and r trying to make u focus some where else besides his pants where his **** is.... suicidal.gif

not to offend u (its not ponted twards u)

Go to 45 seconds. What is up with that glowing blue hand in the corner?

This was posted earlier http://media.gtanet.com/images/4119_gta4_screenshot.jpg but DS? Reference to Nintendo?

Very unlikely that this hasn't already been posted, but I will anyway.

I noticed the screenshot of Niko standing outside the house with the greenland and trees behind his is very similar to the place he kisses the girl in the one of the trailers... That is all.

Yeah definitely from the same action scene.

The 2 officers are exactly the same.

By the way, has GTA ever had 2 police guys in one car before or was it not 1 per car?

The blue thing is part of the camcorder screen. as you can see the footage is from somebody's handheld

camera. The wee blue doofer is an icon representing 'shock proof' which is basically just something you wil lget on digital cameras or camcorders to help it remain in focus

even when the camera shakes a little.

Nothing important I assume.

Notice the side mirror that is caught in the air intake right behind Niko. Sweet.

If you look at the buildings on either side of the road you can see they are connected by where I'm from there called +15's

I dont know what they are in NYC but they connect buldings so you dont have to go outside to get around downtown

that could mean the interiors are going to be massive

Well its cool because in downtown Calgary you can go everywhee without going outside

and if you know anything about a Canadian winter you would know thats a very very good thing

You see a lot of little bridges like that downtown on the west side going from building to building. It could also be part of a re-creation of the high line which does go inside buildings (because the train could deliver cargo to warehouse interiors).

Here is a picture of both the high line and a building-to-building bridge on 15th street in Manhattan I took from google street view:

Do you thing LIPS 106 will be returning in GTA IV, its been in GTA3 and LCS and check out the teaser website "Relaunch coming soon!!"

Just a theory, could be wrong.

http://www.lips106fm.com/

Also on the gta iv website, under music it has a blank, circular logo space for a radio station, the lips 106 logo is inside a circle

in the new gamestop trailer when the two

guys break into the red lambo you'll

notice that before the driver is fully inside

the car the headlights come on and they

speed away with no hassle, no hotwiring?

why should niko have to hotwire cars if npc's

do not.

Why would they break into it then?

As for those bridges between buildings, I think its unlikely you will be able to go into them. They are probably there just for decoration.
