agent17
Bulletholes are permanent I doubt thats possible. If you unload 100 rounds into a wall at the beginning of the game they bullet holes couldn't possibly last for more than a few hours in-game time. Bullet holes are most likely "semi-permanent". NintendoFanboy
Wow since ive been gone theres been speculation galore lol -The red dot IS on the picture, not glare from my camera -The dirtbike scene is a beach dirttrack Another quote from the article summarising finer points of detail in the game: We've been talking for hours, but when it comes to GTA, there are so many details packed in there we could be here for days. The sat'nav systems, with theyre spoken instructions fitted into the more expensive cars. The fact some vehicles have shiny new paintjobs that reflect the world around them while the bodywork of old bangers is dull, matt and lifeless. The fact vehicles get dirty over time - and that you can do something about it by rolling them through a carwash. Being able to use the radio on your mobile phone in order to take the games many stations on foot. The new explosion effects, which blast fiery, smoky plumes huge distances into the air. The sandy shorelines, with discarded tyres and other pieces of junk, and the footprints your leave on both dry and the glisteningly wet sand. The buoys that bob in the water. The poop deck restaurant. The golf centre, with a caged driving range. The forklift driver whos standing around smoking (giving you ample opportunity to steal his truck only to find that forklifts arent known for theyre agility and speed and leave your attempt to jump over a skip upside down) The fact that older drivers can be swiftly removed from vehicles whilst the more burly stronger drivers require much more force to remove.... A golf range with a caged driving range...sweet! Does it say where this driving range is located? And is the gyro place and the poop deck both located by the beach? Mafioso86
so i stopped at a large bookstore on my way home from my night class to see if they maybe had the magazine (i live in the US) and to my surprise there it was, EDGE. I was excited as sh*t, then I picked it up and started looking threw it and I realized it was the issue from like 2 months ago and there was absolutely nothing about GTAIV.... bahhhhh. Jordan
I hope it comes out on PC sometime You and me both. It's the ONLY way to play it. In this new age of high definition gaming with amazing online support, you are pretty much wrong. PC's are great. I just played Team Fortress 2 on PC for a few hours. However, I'll take a couch, large HD television and online support on a console over the time it takes to do the same setup for a PC. Sure, mouse+keyboard are better for first-person shooters, but to totally discount consoles with your capital letters really shows that you haven't experienced gaming on a Xbox 360 or a PlayStation 3 yet. reptilexcq
So dirt bike is confirmed in the game. COOL!! I rather drive a dirt bike than motorcycle cuz the engine of the dirt bike sound much cooler. That's the main vehicle i used to get around places quicker in SA....and dirt bike is easier to handle and also speedier. Now i hope they bring back BMX bike...it'll be cool just to cruise around...but i can live without it. Also about be able to carwash...why don't they allow buying gasoline....it'll be cool to buy gas once a while...i mean they don't have to make it part of the gameplay if they don't want to.....just make it so that there are little or no chance that you're going to need to refill...that way you refill at your own wish....!! This makes the game part of the real life and more interactive.
BlademanX
Sweet, thanks..do scan this.. That's awfully a small amount of Facts for 16 Pages Thats because most of the news is old or people will complain as usual. Good stuff though. I like the one about the cops yelling irrelvant phrases and the garbage truck. Also indoor clubs sounds good.
BlademanX
For people outside the UK Egde magazine is piss poor. Your not missing much to be honest. Its worth 5 pounds or 10 dollars and is not worth the cost for exporting. Your better off waiting for a local mag to have these pics and info. Jordan, I respect your opinion. Consoles do a good job at what they are meant to do - that's play games on reasonably priced hardware (reasonable enough for teenagers and teenagers parents to afford) and do it with the utmost simplicity. Mission accomplished. Now, for those know the differences between PCs and consoles, there is ENORMOUS difference in the overall gaming experience and it's not limited to keyboard/mouse controllers. I'm not going to go through the whole laundry list of items here. But, you are aware that you can hook a PC up to an HDTV right and play from your couch if you so choose, right? Also, you are aware that GTA IV will be running natively at 720p (1280x720 resolution), correct? You also know that PCs can run most games at native resolutions up to 2560x1600 (with 30" displays)? By the way, I have played around with the 360 and PS3. Suffice it to say, I was very disappointed on so many levels. I used the capital letters because I do know better. I encourage you to visit the "GTA IV for PC - Will it happen?, Discuss the possibility of a PC version." thread sometime. Many of the finer points of console and PC gaming are discussed on a daily basis. Don't worry, you would be treated as a guest by the PC contingent. Mavros
Lets be serious though. 500 dollars for a console to play GTA IV. How much would it cost to run GTAIV on a PC? Without any hitches and at the resolution you stated?

BlademanX
Not everyone has a high end computer and is willin to spend a ridicoulous amount of money and time upgrading to play games slike crysis. Consoles bring a simplicity and are originally made for games with no need for hardware upgrade to play games. You'd pay double the console price to get a decent pc that will run low end games let alone crysis. Console all the way.

Without any hitches and at the resolution you stated? Yeah, because Xbox 360 has a game archive consisting of 1 game... You realise there are hundreds of 360 games. Also, PC's are cluttered with documents and sh*t. PC's are for porn. Xbox 360 is for GTA porn.
