dingodile_r89
Red bulls race livery has been released, I really like the purple (just a render btw) Testing has finished as well, any predictions about quali in Melbourne? I might try and go watch it live for the first time Jealous, lol. I think Williams might take pole. Has there been any update on Alonso's condition? Ari Gold
I know it's a sh*t photo (took it while at a red light on my way to work) but they had one of the Red Bull cars (I presume Ricciardo's?) in front of Parliament House this morning on show. Can't wait for the season to start again. Edited March 6, 2015 by Ari Gold
TheOneLibertonian
Damn, McLaren is slow as hell, Honda needs to fix the PU ASAP. Alonso may not be racing in Sepang if they did not fix it. Congrats for Lewis for the first pole of 2015. Surprised by both Sainz and Verstappen in Qualy. Can't wait to watch the race tomorrow. dingodile_r89
The Toro Rossos are tearing up the track. Hulkenberg and Raikkonen coming out of Senna-Prost looked terrifying. Travesty is, no live race telecast for me, because of bloody cricket. Can I watch it online somewhere? Preferably with Sky Sports commentary. I'll never get used to this, though. TheOneLibertonian
An okay race, not bad. Poor Kimi, he was driving like a demon in those old softs. And LOL at Macca, getting lapped twice by Mercedes. The podium interview by Arnold was interesting and funny with Lewis saying "I thought you were taller." The rookies were surpising especially Nasr and Sainz. Edited March 15, 2015 by The_Ghost
Pete4000uk
McLaren were dreadful. Hope Alonso wasn't watching the race given his replacement at Ferrari was on the podium. Red Bull are unfortunately throwing the toys out the pram. As for Merc, that have done a spectacular job and its hard to see how anyone can catch them. Artruo
Yeah the race was alright, not much action but it was nice to watch f1 again. I bet Alonso's already got a second concussion from banging his head against the wall The pace of the Ferrari was surprising! Hopefully there's some good fights between them and Williams

Hopefully McLaren can learn and develop for the next race. I think McLaren are in for another one of those years where getting into the points will be a victory in itself. Its a real shame seeing as Button and Alonso are a dream team. Just not the start anyone was hoping for.

richard1997jones
/tinfoilhat Ferrari are sabotaging Kimi so that he leaves and Alonso comes back. Doubt that. Kimi is a good driver and with Alonso out at the moment it makes it even less likely to be true. Alonso is an expensive driver to have seeing as he was being paid about £30 million by Ferrari at one point. Formula one is changing and I wouldn't be suprised if Button, Alonso and Kimi retire. Seems the trend is getting young drivers in at low cost to fill the seats to save the teams from going under.

What's your opinion on the Van Der Garde settlement? That Sauber are taking the piss. Ok, yes, they're in bad financial shape, but these things need to be taken care of before the sh*tstorm happens. Nasr and Ericsson brought close to 40m, according to Andrew Benson. Get your sh*t together, Kaltenborn. Or you know, Peter could go to LMP1 (only because Group C is no longer around. After Sutil and VDG taking the piss, I think that Sauber may not complete the season and go bankrupt. Sauber got huge FOM prize money in Australia though. Love the Sauber C9. dingodile_r89
It's Sepang week! Barring Mercedes, it has become a little unpredictable, which is quite enjoyable. I'm looking forward to this season, hope Honda get their stuff together.
TheOneLibertonian
What a race, Hat's off to Vettel for winning thanks to a great pace and Merc's arrogance costs them the race. Fred must be kicking himself now after seeing Vettel winning. Bottas' pass to Massa in the closing lap is just amazing. The McLaren proved to have a good chassis, but with a sh*tty PU prevents them from finishing the race and getting points. But it seems to be an improvement and I'm very optimistic about them, but in no way they will catch both Ferrari and Mercedes though. See you guys in Bahrain(I mean China) and Happy Easter! Hope this season is going to get more exciting. Mercedes were like, "We got the fastest car, no one comes close." They don't realize this ain't 2014. It's been a while since the German and Italian National Anthem were played in unison. Last time we heard that was when Seb got his first win at Monza in 2008, and brings us memories of the Schumacher era. I want to see Fernando's and Horner's reaction. They would be timeless. Alonso is cursed /topic It's too early to judge Alonso being cursed in his second stint at Macca, but he was cursed at Ferrari. Nearly won the championship on the last race of both 2010 and 2012. The MP4-30 is one of the best chassis' thanks to Peter Prodromou, but it's powered by a PU with a sh*t ton of reliability issues. I hope Honda sort it out before Hungary or Spa. I hope Merc don't f*ck it up in China. They made a mistake firing Ross Brawn. Edited April 6, 2015 by The_Ghost
dingodile_r89
As I expected the Renault engines simply gave out. Sad, really, mostly for Verstappen, that kid is going to go places. Damn At the right moment, at the right time. That's what I call finishing with a bang! Happy to see Kimi on the podium again. Vettel's performance is horrible. He's trying too hard. Ferrari is going to Merc a run for it's money. Nice to see McLaren making progress, despite Jenson's problems. P11 is a great position for them, they need to bring huge upgrades in Barcelona in order to make it to the points. dingodile_r89
Ricciardo's blowout was spectacular. Reminded me of Montoya a bit, except Montoya didn't make it to the finish Word is, Ferrari are bringing a new engine to Montreal. I have no clue what Seb was doing. When he said on team radio "I don't know what happened, but I'm experiencing lots of understeer, could you guys keep an eye on the sensors?" I was like "Groan, you went off the track and bounced the car around, you fool" and sure enough, broken nose mountings. Not sure how Hulkenberg ruined his race, Perez had a good drive, though.
