Button has been quite mediocre in three races in a row now. In Monaco he was behind Kovalainen during the second half of the race which was kind of tragic. Mark Posted May 29, 2012 Share Posted May 29, 2012 It's always been the case at McLaren. If the car has balance and has a wide setup window, Button will do well. If the car is awkward and the tyres operate in a knife edge of a temperature window, Button just cannot get on top of the car. Lewis comparatively just doesn't give a sh*t and finds a way to drive the car, albeit at the detriment of long run pace usually. I'd like to see Webber at Ferrari. Lewis for Red Bull after? He has driven for Red Bull Racing since 2007 and it would be nice if he changed team after all these years. He would be a better choice than Massa who hasn't performed so well since his tragic crash in Hungary. Occasionally he can drive okay but we rarely see that. He hasn't scored a podium since the 2010 Korean Grand Prix. I would say he's washed up if it weren't for his quite good driving at Monaco two days ago. It's one of my favourite circuits in the calendar because it usually happen a lot of interesting stuff during Canada race weekends. It's also a challenging curcuit. I hope Schumacher can get a nice qualifying but I don't know what to think at the moment. Btw. I wonder if we get a seventh winner this weekend? Perhaps it's Hamiltons turn? Alonso and Schumacher missed Q3 and they were like only two tenths behind the first driver. And Vettel once again proved that he's the qualifying king. Massa just knocked off by Kobayashi (they're apparently really good friends) Vergne f*cked with... Maldonado was it? I don't remember. McLaren f*cked up Hamilton's pit stop for the 4th time this year. It's like Massa's 2010 season with Ferrari. Vettel's car broke when he was clearly in the lead and now Alonso has it, he had some balls passing Grosjean just after the yellow flag. Now Grojean is gonna try to battle with ALonso for the lead. The best part of all is that Schumacher finally reached the podium! The only thing that might destroy this extremely good F1 day so far is that Schumacher and his team are investigated by the stewards at the moment. They can't take his podium! He clearly slowed down before the yellow flag but you never know what the stewards have to say so I was a little bit worried for a while. But a penalty would have been a scandal; a complete joke. And you've got to dump talentless fools like Maldonado. When i saw that move I thought he'd intentionally driven into Hamilton, but it looks more like an accident -- but an unbelievably stupid one. He'd have easily passed Lewis in the next few corners because of the tyre issues the McLaren was having. I hope Frank Williams yelled at Maldonado. Schumacher third in Silverstone's Qualifying! I'm very proud of him. To bad he didn't got the Pole though. Maybe he would have grabbed it if he was on Intermediates earlier in the Q3 session. But great result anyway! Alonso drives superb once again. He grabbed the Pole Position for tomorrows race. And I guess it was almost Webbrarrr time. He did a good Qualifying and will start second. He won for the ninth time in his career and is in a good position for the championship. Unfortunately it didn't rain during the race which Schumacher surely had hoped for but I'm glad he could have a problemfree weekend for the second time now. He was in seventh position today.
