Jay
Anyone seen this?I can't imagine anyone overtaking with all that crap being flung off the racing line. The reason it's there is because everyone sticks to the racing line through the tunnel. It looks fairly small on television, but I got to see it up close last year and it is really quite tiny. You'd be a special case to try and overtake, especially where that photo is taken at the entrance to the tunnel. The exit is another story, the approach to turn 10 opens up tons of overtaking opportunities (and opportunities to ram Adrian Sutil in the ass)

I've got quali on delay over here and that just happened. Ooof. Without seeing all the rubber and dregs on the non-racing line through the tunnel in such quality like that photo you picked, it really is mystifying as to how he lost control. It looked like he early straightened up, but then lost it again and went into the wall. This is why I love Monaco (not that I want to see people crash), but these intricacies come with the environment, and cannot be forced, no matter how hard Hermann Tillke tries in whatever corner of the world he's plonking one of his boring tracks onto these days. Jay
There's Massa binning it through the tunnel. Love how they call it "the marbles".

Jay
That was so obviously a joke. He even spelled out exactly where it came from. Sense of humour, plz.
Brown Sugar
Yes it's ridiculous what you'll get penalised in f1 for sometimes, but you can understand why he bsaid all the things he said, that was probably the worst weekend he's had for a long time. I expected Button to be more frustrated after having the race in his hands only for it to be ruined by a bad team decision to bring him in the pits and the 2 safety cars. Kryten.
All things aside he did deserve the penalties. Okay, he may have been faster than Massa and Maldonaldo, but you just can't run them off the track. Its not impossible to make a clean pass, even around Monaco. Webber's pass on Kobayashi in the dying laps proves that. He may think he's being harshly dealt with having 3 penatlies in two days, but they've all been self inflicted. I think the frustration just grew because he was so fast in practice and Q1/Q2, but couldn't do it in the big sessions. That said, the whole racist comment is a storm in a tea cup. Clearly a joke so just move on. Vettel and Webber got some bad luck with their pit crews looking very out of sorts. Vettel was lucky it didn't affect him as much as Webber (not a surprise really). Webber did well to get 4th from that position. Still looking like Vettel will have the championship wrapped up with 3-4 rounds to go, and its become a race to get 2nd spot in the championship. Brown Sugar
looks like mclarens wet car setup in qualifying may pay off, it's wet right now and doesn't look like drying up in time for the race.

Josh
Hamilton is a liability. I wouldn't be surprised if McClaren drop him soon because he's not winning and he's just acting like a deranged suicide bomber.
Brown Sugar
Hamilton is a liability. I wouldn't be surprised if McClaren drop him soon because he's not winning and he's just acting like a deranged suicide bomber. If the mclaren car was more capable of challenging the red bulls we wouldn't see hamilton making as many desperate moves as he has been to pass cras and try to beat the red bulls. His driving style is naturally aggressive anyway so I don't think mclaren would think about getting rid of him because he isn't winning because afterall who is winning apart from sebastian vettel, hamilton is the only other driver to win this season and who would mclaren replace him with? We've had a swap on channels over here. The safety car has been on the track so much it deserves to have a couple of points put on the board. Edit: What a race from Button in the end especially after pitting 6 times, took Vettel right at the end after he messed up. Brown Sugar
Still gutted Vettel couldnt make it though. yeah, it's not like he's won all but 2 races this season and willprobably win most of the remaining races, i'm so pleased vettel didn't win, not because I don't like him but because someone else needed to win for a change. Barry Spock
That was an amazing race. I'm glad button won but would've loved to see webber win, and eventhough I'm no schumacher fan, shame he didn't get a podium. Those canadian marshalls need to get their sh*t together. That's twice they fell over on camera during the weekend. EDIT: question for the british, was there no bbc forum because of the longthy nature of the race? I can't find a torrent anywhere.
