Jayt001
@Jayt001: I think the main change that will make this year more exciting will be the removal of traction control. This was evident in Melbourne, with the amount of spin-offs. However, I think by Malaysia and as the season progresses, there will be less driver errors due to drivers getting used to the lack of TC. Yeah, definately. I'll be honest F1 was getting a bit boring, they needed to make a big change, such as removing traction control. I think it will be much closer this season. And yeah as you say, they will become more accustomed to the lack of TC as the season goes on. Sgt. Cortez
Ok race, I think more fans will start watching if they have a couple of driver deaths, I got into F1 in 94 when senna and ratty got mangled, it was a great race. If you start watching F1 because of driver death then you're not a fan. compo11
I became a fan because of that race in san marino, I have remained a fan because I respect the power of the cars and the skill of the drivers, face facts if an F1 driver has an horrific crash more people will watch, and I reckon we are due a fatality. Stefan. What? That's not a fact. People will look at it and think "Gosh, that's shocking, why would I watch that?" It will do the opposite, in fact. We are never due a fatality. And although you claim to follow F1 because of the power of the cars, I think you're only saying that to cover up your real feelings (crashes). compo11
F1 on BBC next year, this is good I think (for British veiwers) it will mean no adverts spoiling the action, hopefully they will get Brundle onboard and maybe get murray out of ritirement although I doubt that will happen. Stefan.
I think Ecclestone asked Murray he can commentate in any race he wants, as he wishes. Which is why he commentate in Melbourne up to last year. I hate Bernie Ecclestone. What a bully. H4milton
@Stefan Yes I also agree with your traction control advice cos in malaysian gp there is a dangerous corner that is high from the track, maybe the 4th turn and some turns are very tricky. I feel very sorry for Rubens Barrichello, Bourdais and Kubica. Barrichello was too busy to see the red light on the pit lane.As he was concentrating about the fuel man. Maybe he was looking at the TV Screen not the red light. Bourdais performed brilliantly as he kept two time world champion behind. He deserved more points. Yatesyz
The Ferrari cars looked very fast in qualifying and look the most likely to win the race as long as they don't have engine problems. The McLaren team may struggle being put back five places on the grid. Should be an interesting race though. Mav.
Great race. Quality driving from a number of people. Trulli and Kovalainen especially. Would of been a 1+2 finish for Ferrari but Massa made a mistake/something happened with the car and he spun out. Hamilton would of been on course for a podium finish I reckon, but his pit crew screwed up and he got held up a bit by Webber. Webber did nothing wrong though, he just couldn't pass him. Only 4 DNF's I think. Here is the top 3. 1. RAIKKONEN 2. KUBICA 3. Brad
So your thoughts on how the season is going so far? Who do you think will win the race in Bahrain next week? Bahrain is a fast and techincal circuit and I really don't know which to pick. A Mclaren or a Ferrari. I'd say Ferrari will get the better next weekend, though, I don't think Mclaren would be that far behind. Winner: Either Massa or Raikkonen (considering Massa's performance, theres only one way up, right?). Yeah, I am exciting for next week. Stefan.
I wouldn't go as far and tip a Massa win, but he seems to do well on these speedy circuits, I mean, look what he did at Malaysia. So what if he span off, it's Malaysia; it's cyclonic conditions most of the time. And he was running second at the time. I'd tip actually Hamilton, followed by Massa and Kovalainen. Perhaps Heidfeld/Kubica for 4th. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/316382-official-f1-topic/page/3/#findComment-1057701499 Share on other sites
Yatesyz
Just watched qualifying highlights on the ITV website and Kubica manages to get poll position. Hamilton only manages to get on row two in third position on the grid. 1. Kubica (BMW Sauber) 2 Massa (Ferrari) 3. Hamilton (McLaren) 4. Raikkonen (Ferrari) 5. Kovalainen (McLaren) 6. Seddo
Bloody Macy Gray. The fella on the starting grid was interviewing people and he spotted Macy Gray and he asks here what brings you to the grid and she replied the race and he was like yeah i gathered that. Suppose to be 60 degrees in that car today, sweating your balls off. Good start for Massa and an very bad start for Hamilton there. !!GC!!
haha Hamilton, he crashed in qualifying, idiot. Great about Ferrari with Massa and Kimi doing well, too with BMW. I knew this year that Heidfeld would do well, hes a good driver, that showed last year, unfortunatly his car could hold out for him. Kubica as well. Kovaleinan is looking great this year too. He did as well as Nick last year and he too dodnt have the vehicle to prove it. I reacon they should do it like A1-GP with all of the cars the same power so it shows who the best drivers really are. The constructors championship cant be that important. Edited April 12, 2008 by !!GameCH33TA!!
