What would be wrong with Force India heading the championship? If they put there work into the engine and the car and didnt cheat in anyway then it would of been a great job by them. It would be easier if Ferrari and Mclaren left and not much of a accomplishment, but if those teams didnt leave and Force India achieved it would kinda be amazing.

Well the issue is is that the large manufacturers wouldn't want their cars engines from another. For example a Ferrari Mercedes or a BMW Toyota. This means you'd lose Ferrari, McMerc, BMW, Honda, Renault and Toyota. That's 6 teams. 12 drivers. There's only 20 on the grid at the mo. Only Williams, RBR, Torro Rosso and Force India would be left.

I dont know whats wrong with Force India but they never get the plans right whether it is on lap timing, pole position or the chequered flag. Is it their drivers or engines i dont have a clue. Sorry for mentioning the same team's name twice Mark .

@Waddy: Yes sir. I agree with you, no way that F1 could lose the best amongst the best.

I'd assume it's lack of R&D into aero. They've got the same engine as Ferrari up the sharp end, but considering up until the end of this year it's very chassis (and particularly) aero orientated, it's where it pays to spend millions upon millions. They just simple haven't got the budget to acquire the staff or spend the time on R&D to move forward that far. Next year, with the reduction on aero making the cars a lot more "clean" should see the field bunch up mind you.

 

Expect to see Force India not always at the back of the field I reckon. Especially when you consider the work the OWG is doing.

I almost choked on that last lap, and yelled 'Yes!' when he past Glock. I was certain he'd lost it.

 

That sad, I can't help but feel sorry for Massa, I mean he had the ceremony, but he got nothing overall. He didn't do anything wrong.

WOW! Ever since I started watching the sport back in 1994 I don't think I've ever seen something quite like that. That was epic. Down to the last 2 corners to decide the championship, bloody hell.

 

Was on the edge of my seat for the last 5 laps and when Vettel got past I just couldn't watch! So so so lucky, so deserving mind you.

 

I feel sorry for Felipe, so close yet so far. Especially because he (and his family) thought he'd done it.

Massa's lucky that he even got the chance to take the championship to the last race, it wasn't for the sh*tty stewards decisions during a few other races then today would of meant nothing for either drive as the title would of already been won .

Nobody's mentioned Coulthard yet either, what a shame in his last race for it to end like that. He's had a decent career, all the best to him.
