Well...

Holly sh...!

Alonso ftw! tounge.gif

That was a good race... I especially liked the little hustle between Raikkonen and Kubica.

Well, is someone gonna post the placings for the race?

Or this going to be the whole, "we dont want to come on here and see the results before we watch the race 'cos we want it to be exciting" bullsh*t?

Why do you need to post the results? I'm sure that we can go to other sources to find results.

Also, some people don't want to find out the results because I find it stupid to watch a car race when you know the results.

In respect for others, I'll keep my comments about the race to myself.

So on the day/night/morning/afternoon of a race you're going to come into an F1 topic and not expect to find any comments about the race and race results?.

If you don't want to know the results you shouldn't enter the topic.

Pretty sh*t end result for Hamilton in the end though sad.gif.

I see Massa was drawing on experience from his secret stock car racing career.

The most bullsh*t thing was Bourdais penalty. That was undoubtedly Massa's fault.

Come on Massa!

Ferrari 1-2's abound. I think Massa can win at Brazil, Raikkonen can assist in Shanghai (if he doesn't get bored). Very exciting 2 races ahead now!

I'm just watching the replay now, what the f*ck was up with that Massa shunt on Hamilton on the 2nd or 3rd lap? Did he get a penalty, or was it deferred to after the race or did the FIA and the stewards stick their thumbs up their asses?

ed: theeeeeere we go.

Also, f*ck Massa.

Ah sh*t. Doesnt anybody find it suspicious that Bernie complained about the whole Massa pit stop at Singapore and how it ruined the championship. Then all of a sudden Hamilton completley fluffs it at Japan meaning that Massa still has a shot. Same happened last year were before the 2007 Brazilian GP Bernie wanted Kimi to win and hey what do you know Lewis car slows almost to a stop and Kimi goes on to win the championship. Im not saying Bernie fixes F1 races, ahh f*ck yes im calling that f*cking Harry Potter wannabe a f*cking fixer and the biggest moron in F1 today. (Even ahead of Mosley)

Maybe im just pissed at the race at this moment and probably regret saying tha later on i dont know.

Wtf? Massa turned in on Bourdais who was on the racing line. Where else was Bourdais meant to go? Onto the grass to do a Massa on Massa himself? That's bullsh*t. Some consistency is really needed in F1 methinks.

At least the marshalls got the Hamilton's and Massa's (other one anyway) penalties right.

5 point gap with 2 races left. It'll be close. If Massa f*cks up and Lewis gets a podium, it's game over. Mind you, if Ferrari get 1-2s with Massa 1st in both, Massa wins.

Kuba has a chance now. I'm putting my money on him. icon14.gif

Say goodbye to that money then. Hes had a great season and all but he is still 12 points behind with only two races left. And ill gurantee what happened with Massa and Hamilton wont happen in the next race.

Kimi came back from 17 behind last year, I wouldn't rule him out completely.

Unlikely though, considering he's relying on the big 2 to suffer issues or take each other out in order to score highly.

Wtf the was that start about.

You guys are so f*cking annoying. Now you are only complaining about F1 and Ferrari when Hamilton did one of the worst manovures i have seen in a very long time.

Jut because he is sh*t at take-offs he comes back trying to take a line that isn't there at a speed that wouldn't make the corner, locks the front right and pummels through Kimi. Let alone pushing his own god damn teammate out of the way.

He deserved his drive-through. So did Massa (see, unbiased), but Massa was the better driver on the day with that extreme pass on Webber. Just millimeters between his front left and Webs rear right.

Pretty crap race overall. Kubica is exceptionally well to stop Raikkonen coming through even if he blocked him, which is illegal.

One of the commentators said that the marshalls should just let some things slide, which they did, fortunately.

What ever happened to the after-race decision on Bourdais 'taking out' Massa?

An 'extreme' pass not needed. As you know, the Ferrari much more faster than the Red Bull, Massa could easily of taking Webber on the outside line and I don't believe Webber would put that much of a fight, especially since he was in the side line. It's nothing special neither, they do that to the barriers every lap at Monaco, Valencia and Singapore.

Oh, and Stefan, I hope you're being sarcastic.

How is defending position illegal? Kubica done nothing wrong.

Hamilton's drive through penalty was weird. Yeah he got a bad start but I've seen much worse first corners than that were no one got punished.

It all adds up to a more exciting finale to the season. I just hope Lewis can hold on to it.

Yes, if someone is in the process of overtaking, you cannot deliberately drive onto their line. It was obvious he was blocked because he was swerving all across the track in front of Kimi.

Hey, I said it was good, anyway.

@Brad: Just because the commentators said that he wouldn't put up a fight, doesn't mean that he wouldn't. As you could see by the line he was driving to stop Massa, he was trying to stop him.

Monaco? Yes. Valencia? No particularly. Singapore? Hardly.

That was some good driving and its pathetic you cant see that.

Ok then if that was bad manouver by Hamilton then how come when it happens at the first corner with the backmarkers they never get a penalty. It happens all the time behind the first 5/6 cars but you dont see them lot having a drive through penalty do you. Hamilton went into the corner a bit fast and late on braking it wasnt on purpose. Its not like he was aiming at Kimi just trying toget down the inside. (Unlike Massa) I not saying that it didnt deserve a penalty but having the same penalty as Massa who put Hamilton out of the race on purpose, yes doesnt seem like F1 are sticking behind Ferrari. Then the Massa and Bourdais incident, and they punish the wrong guy. dontgetit.gif

It hardly is as severe with those cars at the back. They are less aggressive.

A bit fast? Wow, how blind are you. Just because he is sh*t at takeoffs he had to dive down inside where thee was clearly no room.

Who got the blame for the Boudais incident?

I didn't hear about that, but if it was Massa who got blamed, then it is correct. He shouldn't have continued through the corner.

Bourdais got the blame and lost hi points. f*cking shocking eh.

On Kubica, the swerving during the straights is defensive. There is a difference between blocking the line and cutting into someone's overtaking manoeuvre. At no point did Kimi get his front wheels past Kubica's rear wheels.

With what you're saying there would be no tussles and people would have to pull over whenever someone got close to them. This is racing remember and just cause someone has a faster car than you doesn't mean you don't get to try and beat them.

The official ruling is that you are not allowed to swerve to block more than once per maneuver, which to be fair is bullsh*t considering Kimi did it to Hamilton at Spa but hey-ho.

As a result, a driver is more than within his right to move across the track once, just not repeatedly.

Lewis got the drive through because although there has been a lot worse in the past as regard outbraking oneself, he pushed a fellow driver off the circuit which could have been avoidable.

Massa got his because he attempted a pass when he was off the circuit and thus spun Hamilton. Strangely, Massa did leave the confines of the track to pass Webber (at one point he was completely off the track at the end of the pit lane although he did have a large run-off to his right) yet didn't get penalised. Then again, same goes for all the drivers that have ever skipped chicanes, even if it's not to maintain position (like how Senna was disqualified in 1989) and even Kimi during Spa when he used the run-off area to keep his foot down round a corner.

As to why Bourdais was penalised is complete bullsh*t.

Thing is, F1 is becoming (as Brundle said) a nanny state sport as nobody knows what the marshalls will penalise for anymore. As a result, due to the fact overtaking is harder and the rewards for coming just one place higher not as effective anymore, coupled with these seemingly double standard penalties, drivers would be silly to risk trying to overtake each other for fear of losing the points they have (ala Spa, shown by the fact Lewis didn't attempt to overtake Rosberg at the end of Singapore).

It's just making the sport boring. Where is the action? Back in the late 80s and early 90s, that's where.

Well...

Too bad Webber went with the 1 stop tactic... otherwise he might have put up a better fight (wouldve been more exciting).

And why did Bourdais get a penalty?

Let me rephrase... why the f*ck did Bourdais receive a 25 second penalty (which cant be appealed) when he didnt do anything wrong?

Seriously, this is far from just smelling fishy... I can already see the damn stench.

Cause it gives Massa another point which makes the title hunt closer.

Bourdais did they promoted Massa by a place. Surprising that its another Ferrari driver thats getting promoted hey. If Massa was in 16th and that happened they wouldnt of promoted him to 15th would they.

Probably.

I dont think it matters too much because if he didnt overtake him there, it would've just been somewhere else. Bourdais definitely shouldn't have been penalised, they should've just left it how it was.
