I always liked Drug Cartels, especially Columbians (Medellin, anyone?). Not only that, but the GTA version of the Columbian Cartel are awesome! They dress pretty cool and they made a great rival gang in GTA 3. Speaking of GTA 3, that game was kick-ass, so that means the Cartel are, too lol. I also like SPANK, because its cool lmao. They own the spank business and they got good weapons. EDIT: Now it's Columbian Cartel 2-1 San Fierro Triads Well its the votes that count, and the Ballas and Vagos were pit against the Sindaccos and Grove Street respectively. Of course the later 2 gangs would win. Anyway on topic, I think I will give a slight nod to the SF Triads, they were really organized and were linked to other Triads and Tongs, they also made friends in SA, such as Grove Street and the Aztecas. The Colombian Cartel were hated by nearly every gang in Liberty except the Yardies. Weapons are about the same. Woozie is believed to be still at large in San Andreas where the Cartel are currently with no leadership. Very close, but SF Triads for the win! Triads hold very little turf China-Town San Fierro, yet the Cartel hold an impressive amount of turf, they have businesses SPANK, Pan Lantic, so do the Triads, Casinos, the weapons are about the same, Cartel drive better Cars (Cartel Cruiser ) very close but I give the nod to the Triads, very well organized, with some dominate alliances GSF, LVA, and 1 important thing that really judged this was that the Triads have a smart leader Woozie, while the Cartel seem to not have a leader. The VLA aren't really connected with Triads at all. And only CJ connects GSF to Triads and VLA. The Leone's vs. Grove Street Families My vote definitely goes to the Leone's. Way better structured, far more powerful, better guns, better weapons and more intelligent leadership. I wanted to see CJ fight Salvatore in the game though. It's too bad. I still like the Leones though because they have Mickey Hamifsts, Toni Cipriani and Joey Leone. GSF do have alliances with Triads and VLA(I know it's been said 100 time but anyway). They carry deagles and AK's. They got lots of cash because of the stake in the four dragons casino, they own the garage in doherty, the abandoned airstrip, wang cars and many more assets. I vote for Grove Street Families. I know the GSF have CJ and Sweet but the Leones have Toni Cipriani and Salvatore Leone, which cancel them out. Along with them, the mob also has Luigi Goterelli, Joey Leone, and Mickey Hamfists. If that wasn't enough, the Leones expanded from Liberty City to Las Venturas, and for a while, had the biggest stake at the Casino. Don't get me wrong, Grove Street Families are tough. GSF: *CJ, Sweet, influential members *Alliances with VLA and Triads *Lots of assets around San Andreas (Doherty Garage, Wang Cars, Airstrip, etc.) *Full turf in Los Santos Leones: *Senior Members: Tony Cipriani, Salvatore Leone *MAFIA: Criminal organization, not street gang. *Owns turf around Liberty City AND Las Venturas *Owns shares in casinos The only way CJ managed to get the better of Salvatore was through a heist. Although GSF has the potential to become a criminal organization, they are obviously still a street gang, and, in my opinion, don't stand a chance against the Leones. Posted March 19, 2008 Share Posted March 19, 2008 The SF triads are a very tough gang and they do have Katanas, but the Varrio Los Aztecas have Cesar, Hazer, those others dudes that helped in Los Desperados and have an extremly strong alliance with GSF. They also have Desert Eagles, 9mm, Uzis and Katanas and i believe when it comes down to it, when GSF has to decide whether to help the Triads or VLA, they'll take VLA cos they'd rather help out a gang with family alliance (Cesar and Kendl) rather than some blind asian dude they met through street racing. Technically, they should go down with the Mafia's and Yakuza as crime organizations, while GSF, VLA, Ballas, Vagos, Da Nang Boys, etc. are all street gangs. Crime organizations usually have better resources, weapons, and people. They are organized (for example, a Triad member has to abide by a detailedly written set of 36 laws), while street gangs are just a bunch of people of the same race hanging out with each other. They we're presented very badly and looked clumsy and a bit fooly to me. And they are not connected to the GSF and VLA, only to CJ (which doesn't matter in my opinion). Have better weapons. The Leones got more turf and practicly own Liberty City. I say again it doesn't matter, but ain't they in peace/alliance/whatever with the SouthSide Hoods? More organised than the Triads too. Yes, they are an organized crime syndicate. But, Triads are too. Still, the Leones are better. They have cool suits, cars and weapons. Also, Salvatore Leone is/was a great Don, IMO. Toni Cipriani is a very good Capo, too. I was also very happy to see the Leone Family make a reappearance in San Andreas. That was sick! Leones ftw! The Leone Family have beaten every other gang in the GTA 3 canon! It makes sense, too. I always thought that they were the most creative gang made by . My second choice would be the Grove Street Families, who actually made it to the quarter finals. Anyway, enough about the GSF, let's praise for the Leone Family dominating over every other gang.
