as long as you don't mod the main.scm file it should all work. So you can replace all vehicles, all weapons, retexture buildings and stuff, change wheel packs , ... everything but mission mods really.

i dnt really understand wot u mean by main.scm file... if i use SAMI should it work? (sorry im new to modding lol)

The main.scm file is the file in which all the mission scripts are. Anything that uses SAMI is a car/bike/plane mod, so that should work.

Not really. However I have a question. If you start the game, does it show a version number in one of the corners of the screen anywhere in the startup screens?

If it doesn't , you're okay to mod.

If it does show v2.0 or higher, there's a bit more work to be done in order to make your game moddable.

Perfect. You're doing nicely for someone who's new to modding. icon14.gif

Well, in that case I can only advise you to get some car mods and start up SAMI (or learn how to install them manually tounge2.gifwink.gif )

ok thx... 1 last thing, does it matter if any of the cars im replacing are saved in the garages wen i install mods?

Depends. If they are tuned with anything other than wheels or NOS, it's likely that the game will crash when trying to open the garage. So it's best to check all garages first. I suggest you just remove all cars from all garages, just to be on the safe side.
