Again edited my settings ,turned on motion blur,and adjusted DOF settings,now works fine:) squares around cars still remains though

this mod is the best f*ckin mod ive EVER gotten for SA. BRAVO BRAVO.

I really like the new version, only problem I'm getting is a bloom bug, for some reason the bloom randomly goes dark or really bright (And I mean REALLY bright).

boris could you update the readme too? some of the features are not listed in and i would like to know what they do and if they have a serious FPS impact.....

BTW Im getting the bloom bug too. The way to fix it is to adjust your brightnesss setting alot . . . then it goes away.

Ok I set all the occlusion and shadow filter/quality to 2, and I get a FPS boost of 5. Only 5!

Try to use my settings,it runs fine with my crappy gf 7600 512 mb,with resolution 1024x768x32,with AA set to 3,and all other stuff to very high,you can try to enable occlussion and water at least with quality set to 2 with your 8800

Omg. A bit better but I still get 18-19 FPS with Fraps. What the hell. How much FPS do you get?

well someting i noticed is that when the bloom is oversaturated it slowly becomes normal (2 or 3 seconds) is that what u talking about?

 

and btw sometimes the shadows stop working by a fraction of time 100 ms i think, its very fast but very noticiable too, this happen with the last versions too

 

about DOF it looks cool but its a FPS killer sarcasm.gif

Yes, all additional setting will be written to your old. But i suggest you to do another thing, rename that old enbseries.ini to something else, for example old.ini, then extract from 0.075 new enbseries.ini and in it find parameter AdditionalConfigFile and set it value to old.ini (AdditionalConfigFile=old.ini). Then open old.ini, remove from it all you don't need (but not category names you use, like [bLOOM]). Here the example of file old.ini:

Use default setting from it, but only set ReflectionDepthBias=100 (may be DepthBias=100 also).

 

To The Kirbster:

Performance almost not changed in compare to 0.074H if depth of field disabled, it's all about another setting by default, use your old config.

 

To Delite:

Hm, so slow? May be display resolution about 1650*1280 and antialiasing enabled at once? there is a lot of setting to low performance, try first OcclusionQuality=1, UseIndirectLighting=0. As for cars, UseCurrentFrameReflection=1

About those setting by Partyboy, set DOFNumberOfPasses=1 or 2. It's not good balanced, water deepness in use, but shadows are lowest quality... No one read performance tips section.

 

To Partyboy:

You wrong, shadows are not any more fps killers like was before 0.074H6 version.

 

To bumster:

May be it's a Vista problem, may be drivers, may be you have antialiasing enabled and (or) too high display resolution and going out of video memory.

 

To wachumanango:

Documentation updated. Why shadows dissapear for a short time i have no idea, i have this problem too, but it's something i can't understand now, too small time to read 3d states and debug.

Ok I'll do it, I think my resolution isn't that high (1280x1024), and I play with Anti-aliasing set to 2. But I'll try what you said, thanks.

For performance-priority try what Boris recommends and also EnableOcclusion=0, EnableMotionBlur=0, ShadowQuality=2 and Usewaterdeep=0, one won't notice difference most of the time but it's very fast. And no AA/AF, framelimiter=off in game of course, drivers to application controlled except maybe vsync=off. For 8800gt try newest drivers 175.16 also.

I tried ENBSeries with the lowest resolution and no AA and it still closes, downgraded my drivers to 100.64 guess what happened, then I upgraded them to 162.50 and then it happened again.

 

I officially give up.

Alright Boris, here's my feedback on 0.75 :

 

- Now per pixel works with my gfx card (X1800GTO), everything's fine and clearly fast on that feature.

- But I now experience problems with DOF, nothing slow really down with it, but I have artifact and the distance isn't right ; same as others or nearly the same :

My dof parameters are default except the range. And question :

 

- Do you use the Zbuffer to gather the depth informations ? If no you should try.

Of course i need scene depth information, but zbuffer in DirectX prior to DirectX10 impossible to capture without special tricks (vendor surface formats, like i did in Stalker version).

 

To bumster:

Check out your setting in videocard control panel, may be some antialiasing enabled, smoothing (if ATI).

Yes I had, I'm going to try without. Tho it was the game's fake anti-aliasing, not my GFX driver one.

@Boris : Disabled every driver antialiasing, every game antialiasing, and the DOF still show artifacts. Or at least is very unprecise.

 

Maybe there's something with ATI's there ?

The new version works really well for me.

But ultimately I think the Depth of Field is not made for games like GTA. It's good for FPS like Call of Juarez.

The DOF is perfect for screenshots but for play it's really horrible and I get headaches and sore eyes monocle.gif

I just downloaded it and extracted all the files to my San Andreas folder.

When I start GTA San Andreas, I immediately get this message

"This application has failed to start because d3dx9_33.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

 

The older version works fine though.

Any solutions?

Download d3dx9_33.dll from the Web and put it in your SA directory

I can start my game after downloading the d3dx9_33.dll file.

When I activate the ENBSeries mod, my screen became black.

 

Game didn't crash, it's a graphic problem and once it's deactivated I can see everything again.

I'm on a 8800GTS 640MB btw.

 

I guess I will stick to the older version.
