Mr.Ruthless
After watching Johnny proposing Meryl in a gunfight on Youtube, I think I'm going to cry, because this game isn't on PC. It looks so damn awesome.
Stefan.
Whats the easiest way to reload when you stuff up, Exit from the save menu and load? I turn off the PS3 just to be more safe!
master ED
The fight between Liquid and Snake was possibly the best way EVER to finish off the Snake saga of MGS games. Just an excellent way to conclude the entire series. f*cking loved this game One annoying thing, to get the Snake Eater theme tune you have to get all 40 emblems, and I think by that time I wouldnt want to play again Also why isnt the MGS2 theme on the iPod and why cant you put your own music on there? Oh well apart from those 2 things, f*cking excellent. Well, here's a guess why the MGS2 theme is not available on the iPod... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTcNUoxCmHI (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTcNUoxCmHI) Seems that Gregson got inspired by a Russian composer...too much inspiration if you ask me. Flipside281
Although the whole game is awesome my only problem with it is once you beat it you can't go back and play whatever act you want you have to go through the whole game again to play your favorite parts

Flipside281
I think that the next Metal Gear will probably be about Raiden. Like, if it takes place during the same timeframe as MGS4 or maybe a little before it. Do you guys think it could work?

Maybe ninja stealthy, but not agent stealthy. He would kick ass in adventure games though.
beavis
I just beat this game and all I gotta say is WOW! I felt like I played an interactive movie though. Enjoyed going back to Shadow Moses for some Epic Nostalgia
AndyGanteks
The game is simply awesome. How big is the 1.12 update for MGO, can't play online without downloading it. Oh, and how do you get weapons delivered from the Drebin guy or what's his name. Just met him at the veery begining of the game. stingray.
Glad to see this topic back on the first page. I'm currently on Act 4, and haven't finished the game once. I would like to take my time and go through the entire game, because it's just simply amazing. For those who don't have it yet, they're truly missing on something special. I do have my gripes with the game. It's just TOO short, especially Act 3. Theoretically, you can finish the game in under 5 hours. The cutscenes were awesome, though there were some cringe-worthy moments with Naomi and Sunny on the plane. I felt that Otacon's voice actor showed no emotion. Taste Of Chaos
Just completed this again. The end is f*cking touching with Big Boss, Zero and Snake. It's amazing when you notice the expression on Snakes face when Big Boss tells him he's always respected him as a Soldier, and as a Man. Gives you an impression on how much it means to him not to be seen as 'just a clone' if you get what I mean. And I found this video. f*cking awesome. YourNeighborhoodKiller
I know what you mean Chaos. It's definitely an ending true MGS fans will never forget. I grew up with MGS. Played through each and every single game from PS1/2/3. Watching it end was emotional as hell for me.
Taste Of Chaos
Damn right. One thing which reminded me just how long ago it was since the first was released. Was when you go into the garage thing in Shadow Moses and he looks up and says "A surveilliance camera?!" before it falls to the ground and breaks. I doubt any game will ever close to MGS. GTA3Freak-2001
Just got a PS3 so will be probably getting this in the near future, now the last MGS I played was MGS2 I was sick of the whole MGS thing by the time Snake Eater came out so is it important to play Snake Eater before MGS4? Well, yeah. I think so, Cause you get flash backs from the previous games & it will fit together more. But it's not vital. Completed MGS4 erlier on today, Took me all day, What an emotional Series, truely is the best game ever. The Cutscenes do get suicidal though lol. I cannot see any game beating MGS for the storylines. It was so amazing to go back to shadow moses, i sound like a geek, but it brang it all back. I <3 Metal Gear Solid

Aye, It's pretty important to really. The story of MGS4 revolves alot around the characters of MGS3, (I.E EVA, Ocelot, Big boss and Zero). So it's best that you do really. Oh, and 3 is f*cking awesome also. Opportunity knocks once in a lifetime, temptation will lean on the doorbell.
YourNeighborhoodKiller
Oh, and 3 is f*cking awesome also. True that. Though, if you're planning to play the game on your PS3, it might freeze occasionally. Best to play it on your PS2 if you still have one GTA3Freak. Tim Dog
I played all first 3 and ive just started playing 4. The story has a huge history info that I find very interesting and complex. Even the family tree for me is confusing. I tried to read the MGS Database but it doesnt mention which game Snake plays in. So is this correct.... MGS 3=original clone Naked Snake (Jack or John)... MGS 1&2=clone Solid Snake (David)... Big Boss=DNA father of all cloned Snake... The Boss=Mother of all cloned Snake, daughter of Big Boss... MGS 4=Old Solid Snake? Naked, Solid, Liquid and Solidus are all clone brothers quadruples? Hahaha omg pls somebody explain.

Hahaha omg pls somebody explain. ok, major spoiler post for those who haven;t finished through MGS4 MGS3 = Naked Snake (aka: Big Boss) the one original DNA source of all. who is father to: Liquid and Solid Snake (MGS1/2) the 'genetic clones' (might as well throw in Solidus Snake from MGS2) and Solid Snake comes back as "Old Snake" (due to his rapid aging) in MGS4 and Eva = surrogate mother to: Liquid and Solid Snake (this I'm not sure if BOTH snakes or just them or just Solid Snake alone, I'm just typing this off the top of my head as I remember) The Boss is Mother to Revolver Ocelot, who in turn taught everything she knows to Naked Snake, who later on dons the name "Big Boss" Edited November 21, 2008 by iRloading

iRloading
I didnt finish neither! My post says that I just started playing MGS 4 doesnt it?So Im not reading it. Tell me what I can know. finish the game and all will be clear as day. like seriously, it all totally clears up. (all that mindf*ck washes away right after the epilogue... even the censors in the MGS database clears up too) so the "snakes" you play as in the series: MGS4 - Old Snake = Solid Snake who rapidly aged MGS3 - Naked Snake = Big Boss = the source of DNA everyone wants and clones. MGS2 - Solid Snake (and here it is explained that Solidus/Liquid/Solid are all brothers and genetic clones of Big Boss) MGS1 - Solid Snake who is a 'genetic clone' of Big Boss. and as far as other characters are concearned The Boss is not any of the Snake's mother neither is she Big Boss' daughter, rather she is the mother of 'someone else' who happens to be in MGS3 as well. You get to meet both of Solid ('Old' rather) Snake's parents in MGS4, just progress through the story.

stingray.
So, do you guys think there's room for an MGS5, or would that be milking the series too much?
Hart
So, do you guys think there's room for an MGS5, or would that be milking the series too much? BUMP It's either a new MGS, or MGS4 ported to 360 because look at this: http://www.konami.jp/kojima_pro/mgst/?ref=kjp_eng
