papanesta
It was definitely bearable with my brother playing on hardcore, because it was easier for him to do certain parts, such as taking on loads of wretches. We'd have done it with both of us on insane, but annoyingly even though I'd completed it, insane wasn't unlocked for him. The nods between them was enough for me. As was establishing Cole was alright. We were discussing the bit after the credits earlier in this topic. But, I imagine as Adam Fenix is questioning what they've done he's still alive. Also, to know what they did, he must have been close and have access to some form of communications device. And judging by what he says, the queen may have tricked them to not only destroy their last stronghold, but also wipe out the Lambent. I swear we've seen Anya before, but I honestly can't remember. I do hope the relationship is developed, though.
Don Garcia aka NjNakedSnake
Interesting take on the after-credit audio. That would be pretty awesome if that were the case. Sets up 3 pretty nicely. And I don't remember seeing Anya from Gears 1. I remember her being just a "voice" like Cortona in Halo.
AbSoLuTiOn
I got my 360 recently along with a copy of both Gears games, and you do in fact see Anya at the very start of the game just after the prison part when you land near the Colonel/Major. SpraynardKruger
is there anyone that is really good at the game that wants to do some co-op in a bit? because, most of my friends i've been playing with suck at the game or don't want to play co-op and they want to play online. so, if anyone is up for some normal or hardcore campaign, add me on xbl. blitsie
I just finished the game, the campaign was awesome,I loved the Brumak riding scene. The new gun sounds are also a great improvement over the old ones. One thing though: is it me,or is the queen Human? I guess we will all find out in Gears 3.... Abel.
Well she look pretty human, but she's all grey, then she's got this thing covering her back and going over her head which sort of looks like tree bark. Picture: http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/gearsofw...ueen_myrrah.jpg Edit: Found the cutscene for you on Youtube. Thank you, I always imagined her to be some sort Seeder+10000+Corpser huge, ugly mother f*cker.
Blackadder.
It seems at the end of each game in a desperate bid to destroy the Locust, humanity ends up only damaging itself even more. If Gears 3 follows this trend, I wouldn't be surprised if the Locust were wiped out, but the whole planet of Sera is nearly destroyed in the process. papanesta
That kind of touches on something I was wondering. It's a whole PLANET. Surely there are other strongholds...? Even after the Imulsion Wars and the Locust E-day.
Hart
That kind of touches on something I was wondering. It's a whole PLANET. Surely there are other strongholds...? Even after the Imulsion Wars and the Locust E-day. From Wiki: Gears of War 2 takes place six months after the detonation of the Lightmass Bomb at the end of the first game. Though most of the Locust Horde was destroyed, the explosion also caused much of the liquid Imulsion underground to vaporize, causing a fatal disease called rustlung to spread among the diminished human population. After months of peace, the cities of Tollen and Montevado suddenly and mysteriously disappear underground, leading the COG to suspect the resurgence of the Locust. Soon after, the once impenetrable Jacinto, one of the last remaining safe havens for humans, begins to show signs that the same fate awaits it. There were other strongholds, but they sunk. Jacinto was the last standing one. Although, yeah it is a whole planet, you'd think there would be more.
N i c k.
This is my theory, seeing as at the beginning of the game B. Carmine tells you he has 2 other brothers still alive, seeing as his brother died in the first Gears. and it seems EPIC sure does love to kill of the Carmine Brothers. I think there are going to be two more Gears games. Anyone else agree?

Don Garcia aka NjNakedSnake
Yeah, I see Gears being a trilogy, as in no 4th one. So they'll either have both Carmine's in 3, or it'd be cool if they had a DLC package for Gears 3 where you play a side campaign as the 4th brother. Assuming they include another Carmine in 3, which they ought to. Is the rest of Sera, like uninhabitable? That would explain the lack of human strongholds. Democrab
According to something you find in-game, the next Carmine we have is Clay Carmine. IMO the Locust aren't dead, humans are near dead and the Lambent are dead, from the sinking of Jacinto, either that or every Locust is changed into Lambent Because the water gets polluted by the Imulsion when it touches it or something, possibility? I'd like that, because then you'd have the few locust to survive being like Stranded Humans and trying to either get with the Lambent or Humans to be able to survive. Anyone else think that Skorge is Alive, but was knocked unconcious?
Blackadder.
Of course the Locust aren't dead, a fair amount of them escaped before you sunk Jacinto. If anything I'd suspect water would dilute Imulsion more than Imulsion 'converting' water, which in turn would lead to the death of the Lambent. The most probable reason for the humans only to be living in one area is the fact that, if they were to be scattered across Sera, they would be killed. Fast. Muster up a army in one area however, you have a greater chance at living. Edited January 1, 2009 by Blackadder.
Warplay3r
Anyone else think that Skorge is Alive, but was knocked unconcious? My friend, I was playing co-op with, thinks the same thing. For one, I thought Skorge was dead, because of the massive amounts of shots he took from me, and the height of the fall. And one more thing, with Jacinto sunk, what's left on Sera for the Gears? Vanillainy
Oh yeah, and what was up with the Locust Queen being human.. Anyone else find that a shocker? Not really, I've always thought she would be human. Her voice made me think she would be, but I didn't know what she would look like. Although her wiki has her down as a locust but part human? Played it last night, nice to see matchmaking has been sped up.
N i c k.
If you ask me the queen is probably some strange kind of locust, but she has to be locust. Or else the locust would not accept her as their queen... right?

True but the queen seemed to know Adam Fenix personally, which she talks about once you meet here in the palace in Nexus, so she must have some human connection somehow from the past. On a side note, just wondering have you been here before with a new another account a while back?.

I believe Adam Fenix and the Locust Queen worked in the past. Remember that video where Adam says that sinking Jacinto will win the war? I haven't played that part in a while, but if memory serves me correct, he never says who will win the war, No? It's very possible that video was talking to the Locust. Hell, I wouldn't be too surprised if the Locust Queen was Marcus's Mother. Edited January 2, 2009 by Blackadder.

Whoa, now that would be right up there with Darth being Luke's dad. But I didn't get the feeling that could be the possible case. For one, she never so much as hinted at it in her chat with Marcus. And that would be the time to do so, ya know, before sending Skorge to kill you and Dom.

True, but with your example, Darth had time to tell Luke before he did, He picked then and there for shock effect I think, the queen wiould do the same. Although I was thinking that Locust can turn humans into Locust, hence the "Processing" that we find out about, I think they just wanted more numbers after the Lightmass bombing, Look at Tai when you find him, rings in his back? Reminds me a HELL of a lot of one of the Locust, can't remember the name right now though.
