Fireman side missions

Ok, so Niko is suppoose to be able to climb ladders & fire escapes. Would it be too much to ask R* to put a fire truck with a ladder that you can control ( increase the lenght, position it ) ? And ,since I'm asking for stuff , why not trow in firemen uniforms, a firetruck crew , maybe another firetruck to help you with bigger blazes , axes to break through doors and windows, maybe even rescue people from burning buildings ( like in "Burning desire" ). Discuss

I hope they dont put in those types of side missions like in the other gtas. Where you could be a cop/fireman/ambulance med. I think it makes the game really stupid. I would like to see firetrucks with ladders that maybe you could put up to a window or roof to get on top of.

i personally liked the "R3" missions because it gave me something else to do rather than speed through the story and just cause general mayhem.

Really? I rushed through the storyline without even trying out the side missions. Then I ended up getting bored with them trying to reach 100 %

 

I would like to have emergency missions in GTA4, but only if they revamp it completely. GTA3, Vice city, san andreas, LC stories and VC stories; They all had the exact same emergency missions, just with minor changes. Five times is enough for me....

I would like to have emergency missions in GTA4, but only if they revamp it completely. GTA3, Vice city, san andreas, LC stories and VC stories; They all had the exact same emergency missions, just with minor changes. Five times is enough for me....

Exactly what I'm suggesting Mute. They should ad more diversity in the side-missions, like maybe have 12 different missions for each emergency services wich would make things less boring, and have it more immersive ( like having a crew with you. When was the last time you saw a lone fireman trying to extinguish a fire by himself ? ).

The whole point of the missions is that they were vigilante mission. How would you realistically get a crew?

The whole point of the missions is that they were vigilante mission. How would you realistically get a crew?

Actually, Vigilante was only for the Police cruiser (and later other police vehicles as they were added) - the others were named more aptly but overall, I didn't care for them. The Vigilante one was cool for the obvious reasons- taking down dirtbags is always fun! The firetruck and ambulance ones were the most difficult (for me) because the vehicles naturally didn't handle well and was it me or did they seem more apt to blow up than normal vehicles? Used to worry the hell outta me.

 

Seeing as this is the first in the next-gen phase of the franchise, I'd like to see something different than the usual busywork we've been given. SA probably had the best, in that instead of finding stupid packages (why wasn't there anything ever IN them?) you got to spray gang tags, storefronts with missions tied to ownership, even dating, which was mildly interesting but ultimately got boring.

 

I guess we all want variety, in some form, but we don't all want the same variety. That's cool too, I just hope most of what I want will be in the game.
