Just suggesting stuff that would make these box arts look more professional and more what you would really see on a GTA box art. And I do very well know good art when I see it. The previous shows good effort, but IMO, not a good box art. Don't for one second think I'm standing up for my own box art, by the way, it just happened to fool people, I knew it wasn't perfect at all. In order for it not to fool you, you'd have to understand Rockstar's style of creating the box arts and point out the differences.

 

Another opinion I'm going to throw out here, I am not a fan of much of the box arts I see in this topic. I'm a harsh critic when it comes to this stuff. I look for perfection. Poor use of official artwork and filtered screenshots doesn't impress me.

 

Regarding your opinion on mine, I could care less, but I don't see you contributing any artwork here. And by the way, where ever in that previous post did I say I was referring to his box art?

 

Oh, one more thing, regarding his box art, and many others I've seen throughout this topic. CREATE YOUR OWN FRAMES.

Hm, let's compare the artwork frames here.

 

Mine: Curved edges, two areas on top, another larger two below, another three below that, and another two.

Well what do you know.

 

Make these yourself, otherwise the box art is not 100% created by you.

 

Now of course, they do not look exactly the same. The answer: Took my box art, attempted to magic wand the frame as best as they could, then tried to fix up the bad areas a bit. It has as well been changed a bit so it does not look like a direct copy, but it is all to obvious where it originated.

 

Don't mean to sound like a jerk here, just pointing out everything I feel needs pointing out.

In fairness yeah his is better than yours because he uses official screens and yours looks nothing like GTAIV, much.

I was reading in another topic that since Rockstar is starting from scratch, then the boxart will be from scratch. So I made this. It's supposed to be like one of the very first GTA: III box arts.

looks great, but the description sounds really unprofessional. they'd never put something like that on the back. and it doesn't have the features tabs that say "1-? players", "system link", "xbox live", etc.

It's the inventory system. You can carry two types of handguns and only 8 clips of ammo. Or, you can carry two Tec-9s and 8 clips. Or one MP-5.

 

Or you can carry one hand gun with a riffle or one machine gun and one riffle.

 

A duffle bag is used as an inventory chest but while you are carrying it, you can only fire a hand gun or machine gun and not a riffle.

 

The duffle bag can carry 50 slots of items. A sharp shooter tripod riffle takes up 20 slots while an MP5 takes up 6. A clip takes up one slot.

 

Flame throwers, grenade launchers, The Javoline, RPG, mini gun, chain saw, and remote detonated explosives cannot be carried in the duffle bag and can only be accessed from the trunk.

 

While carrying the above large weapons, only one hand gun or one machine gun can be carried and only 8 clips, also, you cannot carry the duffle bag while equiped with the large weapon.

 

These stipulations sound a little complicated I know, but they tend to sync up with reality in many ways. A Flame thrower is extremely heavy, so is a mini gun.

 

At most, Niko can only carry 3 guns. A riffle, a machine gun, and a hand gun. He could also carry a shot gun or one of the large weapons in the place of a riffle.

 

Once you level up, you can carry 4 guns. Riffle, machine gun, hand gun, and shot gun.

 

The phone is equipped with an audio recorder, digital camera, and GPS device.

 

Sometimes Niko has to carry two duffle bags in which case it is impossible to fire a weapon so he must put one bag down in order to fire.

 

The duffle bag can be used to carry weapons and ammo into the more rough situations. The duffle bag can also be used to transport tools, stolen items, large bundles of cash, drugs, explosives, and even used as a decoy (placing the decoy bag into a decoy car and driving away with the real bag in the opposite direction).

 

Melee weapons can take the place of one of the smaller guns. Edged weapons, like swords, switch blades, shaving razors, and machettes do not take up a gun slot but only one type of edged weapon can be carried at a time.

It's not waterpaint or watercolor. It's purely digital.

I'd love to know what you think of them, even if you think they suck, I don't have photoshop or anything so I was forced to use Word and Paint but I think they turned out alright. Maybe I should make my country's olympic games logo since the design company messed it up so bad. Anyway, totally off topic, here's the pics;
