Phantom Zone: previously unknown discovery

Recommended Posts

IMDb user Grand Theft Auto San Andreas board contributor and expert NukeyShay has made a startling discovery in San Andreas above the maximum height limit. I, also, as grand_theft_auto_1992, searched and found out what the purpose of the 'Phantom Zone' was.

NukeyShay's description of the 'Phantom Zone' and how to find it is as follows:

The spot is directly above San Fierro's airport terminal building. It's just above max altitude, so you need some way of going beyond the height limitation. I recommend a cheating disc to use EdisonCarter's reverse gravity or unlimited jetpack height codes...because with the floating cars cheat, you rise too quickly to get a good look at the area. Anyway, 2 "picture-in-picture" squares are suspended in the air...these correspond to the 2 large television monitors inside the race track arena in Los Santos [Los Santos Forum](one "mirror" on the East side of the airport terminal, and one on the Northwest side). Going beyond the height limitation automatically places you in ghost world...so no other arena GFX is shown. Any radio station you were listening to will be replaced with Living Colour's "Cult Of Personality" or Humble Pie's "Get Down To It" to help you zero in on them (the 2 songs that loop in the LS arena).

NukeyShay is NOT an expert, not by any stretch. I’ve debated him before on IMDb on various topics about San Andreas, and he has no clue as to what he’s talking about. icon13.gif

He bases his facts on speculation and hearsay.

I wouldn’t believe anything that he has to say without investigating it thoroughly through reliable sources first.

The interior business was the reason I first started checking out this forum, way back when I was playing SA for the first time. There's one hell of a thread about it, which is actually a good read in itself if you're into that sort of thing:

The stadium interiors were discovered many a moon ago, though, including the one mentioned by the TS...But I don't blame him, it's always kind of a WTF-moment when you stumble across this stuff.
